Staff were very friendly and excellent customer service, helping us to book a dinner reservation nearby as the hotel was not offering dinner service the night we stayed. We enjoyed the free beer and soft drinks from 3-5pm with beautiful views. Onsen was busy but lovely.

I was on a long ride along the entire length of the Izu Peninsula. I was planning on staying in Shimoda but everything was sold out, but I found this place. I didn't know what time I would arrive, but the host arranged everything perfectly with instruction cards, for an easy check-in. I arrived pretty late, so I never got to meet him, but thank you!
The room was more than large enough to leave my stuff scattered around one half of it, with the other housing the fluffy futon. So comfy, I didn't want to get out of bed the next morning. Everything was clean and I appreciated the modern toilet. Towels downstairs, and a nice big shower. There was a large common room, and I think they even have e-bikes for rent. WiFi was good. Best of all, for a cyclist- there is a storage hut just outside the property to stash your ride safely, protected from the elements (and theft).

It was great to spend a time and do something interesting together with the guesthouse family here. I was staying during countdown period and so there were new year activities here like making mochi, calligraphy, and so on. Also, I love the owner family’s hospitality.

Love the location. The host was very welcoming and friendly. They were willing to pick us up and drop us off at the train station. They also, helped with local information and looked up the local bus schedule.
