Not a lot to do in Fukuyama but I was planning to ride bikes in Ominichi (only 20minutes by train.) Tonomoura (only 30 minutes by bus) is a nice sea side town close by as well with an excellent cafe right in the point.

However, it is also perfect for my stay. The room is incredibly spacious. The bed is comfortable, there's even a sofa and table. The shower is also big, with a Jacuzzi. It took me 10min to cycle from Fukuyama train station, normal travelers should consider local transportation. There's a huge Sports Depo and dining outlets within walking distance.
