The area is not providing a lot of amenities or restaurants/supermarkets, so a car is definitely needed. The area is clean, the sea is wondeful, but do not forget to take shoes to wear when you go to swim ( lots of stones ).

The breakfast was always served in a bar across the road. I see as the biggest advantage that everything was closed - small supermarket, shop, train station, restaurants, beaches, and also pharmacy. We had a problem to get to Zambrone and Fabio, the owner, was so kind that he drove to Parghelia to pick us up.

Location was fine with a car and both Tropea and Pizzo were within 25 minutes drive. The village of Zambrone has 2 restaurants. Bed/linen and kitchen facilities were good. Tony our host (and family) were very attentive to our needs. We enjoyed our stay.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The view from the solarium is breathtaking and even though the climb is quite steep (as it is everywhere on the coast), the beaches are very close. Try the gin lemon.
