great location, couldn't have asked for a better location, close to the Doge's Palace, and the grand St Mark's Cathedral. But also quiet as the hotel was tucked away in one of the charming alley ways. rooms were really charming. The concierge helped us with restaurant recommendations, and the hotel. offers a free water taxi ride to the island of Murano! It was fabulous! There were only the 4 of us on the trip, had a tour of a glass making gallery, they showed us all the work they hold in the collection, all for sale. We bought a couple pieces of jewelry, meet one of the glass blowers, and took loads of pictures.

It's a very peaceful and quiet place yet only a short boat ride from Venice and St. Mark's. The rooms are very basic (as pictured) but clean and comfortable. It was nice to be able to leave the Venice crowds behind and enjoy the beautiful grounds of San Servolo. I would stay again.
