What an awesome place. It far exceeded our expectations. It was rustic and authentic and really is located in a medieval village from the 16th century. We walked around the village looking at the ancient streets and imagining what life was like there 450 years ago. The entire place should be a museum so to stay there was a real treat. It was actually better than many of the tourist attractions on our itinerary. Lorenzo was a great host, and brought us wine in the evening and a great breakfast in the morning.
It is best to arrive before sundown as it is a little difficult to find your way around the village at night and find Lorenzos place which is down the narrow streets of the village.
Casa Wendy is located in Ne, just 13 miles from Casa Carbone and 27 miles from Castello Brown. Both free Wifi and parking on-site are available at the vacation home free of charge.

As a jump off point it is ideal. It is right beside the train station. This is an advantage if you'll be travelling by train. The beach is also a 5min walk away and is not crowded.
We spent almost a week in this spacious, clean, tastfully decorated and fully equipped apartment, run by the very helpful, sympathetic couple Daniela and Roberto. In the morning, enjoying breakfast in front of the house, in the early morning sun, is the best start of the day. Spectacular mountainbike tours and walks can be made right from the quiet mountain village of Statale. The Val Graveglia is a pleasure to explore by bike and car! In the evening, we enjoyed the valley view with unforgettable sunsets, drinking wine, a fine welcome gift.
A truly unique experience! A tiny medieval village with a population of no more than 20 people, it seems. Cobbled stone streets, gorgeous green scenery, and fresh air - everything you need to disconnect from modern digitalized life completely. It's been a long time since we've heard such silence at night... The accommodation itself could be described as simple (!) and without frills. But it's worth it!

The breakfast was light and wonderful. The owner even gifted us a new bottle of wine the night we checked in and was very attentive to making us feel comfortable. It was during the slow season, and we had the entire village to ourselves to explore along with the local residents. It was a truly magical experience and I make an effort to return.
Very authentic feeling, cosy and enjoyable stay, we loved it,
The self check-in is very flexible and the communication with the host excellent..
Although is a little far from the main sights in Liguria, I really recommend it. A very good experience with great value for money.
Very special location for a very special journey. A quite atypical place, lost in the mountain for a journey very relaxing. People managning the welcome are pretty sympathic. Breakfast is great in this context. Great place to avoid the rush after a day visiting the cost.

It was clean and comfortable with an amazing view.
