Very welcoming and homely stay. Breakfast was amazing. Within walking distance of the ski lift. Heinz and Anna were very accommodating. He leant me his ski gloves and took videos of our ski lesson. Anna did a load of washing for us. Really couldn't ask for better hosts. We felt like family. Can't wait to return.

Warm, clean and comfortable with a view of the mountains. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of local produce and fresh bakery selection. On arrival, the staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable of the area and what we could do/where we could eat as we were only there 2 nights. Liked that the accommodation came with a Dolomiti card which allowed free use of the local bus up the mountain.

Incredible host lady. So friendly and open. I felt like at home. Would love to be back. Great view for the house. Hues in side well equipped with all needed stuff to cook or to rest. Thou a bit far from Dolomites Ski, but I was travelling every day forth and back, that was not an issue. Close by is small town with good restaurant and convenient stores.

Perfekt für Wanderer und Menschen mit Bodenhaftung
Funes is a lovely spot surrounded by hills. Seems like a bit aside from the "civilization" but just out of the crowded cities. Nice if you are looking for a base camp for hiking and exploring Dolomiti.

this is a gem within the gems that the Dolomites are.
this is the place to be if one wishes to have a very relaxing stay, enjoy the views, walking/hiking in the forest and along paths.
The Val di Funes has a few restaurants but it has retained the charm of an alpine village. It is convenient and lovely.
We visited 4 other valleys in the Dolomites and we definitely prefer this, especially during the gorgeous "indian summer" weather we experienced in late October 2021.

We loved everything about Viel Nois! Stop looking and book this hotel!
Breakfast - exceptional! So much variety.
Staff - extremely polite and accommodating
Room - fantastic! Comfy bed, spacious, fluffy towels, & a lovely view of the mountains
Restaurant - delicious! We ate here for dinner twice.
EBikes - such a great bonus! We had a blast exploring on them!
We especially loved the roof-top hot tub.
So much thought was put into every single detail. We wished we could have stayed longer!
Great place in the Val di Funes. It allow you to enjoy the environnement with far less tourist whil sleeping in the valley.
The room is quite old fashioned but it gives you all the space needed.
The host is very friendly. On the terrasse, there is even a possibility to enjoy a complementary coffee or tea.
The breakfast buffet could look tiny but it reallly offers you all you need for all the taste (even local Apple pie)
The two-bedroom apartment is spacious, clean and well-equipped with a garden terrace. The location is on the high ground in the small town, next to the church. The landlord is enthusiastic and friendly, and provides travel brochures and discount cards. With this card we waived the lift canle ticket for Seceda! In short, as a leisure travel in the Funes Valley, it is an excellent resting place!
Everything about the hotel was fantastic - the breakfast, the staff, the rooms, the vibe, the facilities - nothing could be improved! As a family we were super comfortable in an apartment where we could do our own cooking and enjoy the sauna in the room. We stayed in winter and were cozy in the rooms and very close to the national park to enjoy the snow. 10/10, you won't regret staying here.
Breakfast was the best we had at any of our stays over a 3 week trip throughout Paris and Italy! The room had wonderful views from a balcony. We loved the large size of the room and the large sink vanity in the bathroom. They had a nice cart to bring our bags in and up the lift. The bells from the church right above the Wanderhotel rang frequently bringing us to explore the area.
Very welcoming, family run business with lovely airy bedrooms and spectacular views across The Valley below. beautiful walks from the hotel and free public transport, bus and train. The bus runs hourly from close to the hotel making day trips to Bolzano and local towns easy as well as the Dolomites national park. highly recommended.
Very good location in Santa Maddalena. You can easily walk to the panoramaweg and to the center. Rooms are modern, charming, spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Most (if not all) have a terrasse and a view on the countryside. You can park your car at the hotel. The family is very nice and helpful. Breakfast was excellent.
Everything! What a special place. Views were amazing and both dinner and breakfast made our tastebuds so happy. I will highly recommend to others to choose this hotel if they are in the region. I wish we would have stayed more than one night. Hopefully we will get another opportunity in the future to stay here again.
Very well furnished apartment in the woods. Has a family run restaurant on ground floor which is a blessing.
Apartment had everything we needed for our stay and for cooking as well.
Nearest town is 4-5km away. Still pretty close to Val di funes sights..

Very good place to stay for hiking in Val di Funes. Excellent kitchen and friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable room with balcony facing back garden, so very quiet. Good breakfast. Warmly recommended.
The hotel is located very close to the trails we wanted to hike.
The staff were very informative and kind.
The town is just beautiful. Notice, there is not much to do there if you are not hiking.
Monica is super friendly, the apartment is new, super clean and comfy with beautiful view from balcony.
We'll definetly stay at Baumanhoff again if we visit Funes.
