Fondo was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
Fondo was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I will definitely go back there someday! Amazing canyon, fantastic kayak experience, long and short walks, waterfalls... it was heaven on earth. Everything is pretty much near, it's easy to move around if you have a car, due to covid19 you have to make reservations for almost everything but that's okay and actually thoughtful. We ate salads for dinner and sandwiches for lunch, light meals since we always had huge great breakfast in our hotel!

We were tired and had three course fixed menu dinner in the evening, average but well priced, nice house wine. Courteous, friendly staff. Excellent buffet breakfast. Comfortable beds and clean room. Hotel located slightly above Fondo, nice walk round the lake below hotel. Good value for money. Would stay again.

The place was fancier than I expected, the (German) breakfast very good, and the staff helpful. I ended up leaving a night early because I wanted to be closer to the mountains, but I enjoyed my stay. When I stayed in early October, it was well priced too.
