Alliste is in the middle of S.Maria di Leuca and Gallipoli...
Alliste is in the middle of S.Maria di Leuca and Gallipoli so it's ideal for exploring costa Ionica of Salento. This Ionian coast is rather quiet but with beautiful beaches. Alliste itself does not have any sandy beach but some people swim from the rocks. Torre San Giovanni has several options for food and drinks and a beautiful organised sandy beach, all about 5-10 minutes drive from Alliste. Would recommend staying 3-5 days and then perhaps move to the north towards Porto Cesareo or Taranto for a few more days if you would like to explore that part as well.

The host was nice, bed was comfortable and if you are lucky you will wake up with a little furry friend waiting for you at the door. Free parking is available just next to the place, bakery is just few steps away to get free pastry in the morning. Alliste is a great way to experience a true Salento town, we felt at home. I would recommend a visit to the beach south of Torre San Giovanni.GiovannaItaly

What we liked the most was the hospitality the staff gave us. Very nice people and really do their absolute best to give you the best time.

Spacious pool, pool-bar and tables around where you could enjoy good meals while watching your kids swimming. We were pleasantly surprised and felt the rooms were even nicer in reality than in pictures!
