Acquaseria is a convenient and quiet area and it is a 10-minute drive from Menaggio which is a cute little town with restaurants and a plaza to relax. In Menaggio, you can find a ferry to go to Bellagio and Varenna. Bellagio and Varenna are bigger towns with way more tourists. Around Acquaseria you will find many places to rent a boat to be right on the lake. Nice restaurants all around the area.. I believe renting a small car is a must. We visited the nice luxurious hotels and villas and relaxed having drinks in different ones... the whole area is just beautiful. The area has some historic sites.

The village Acquaseria is situated just above Menaggio which is great to visit. It has a few restaurants (one on the like side), bars and small shops like small grocery shop, butcher, greengrocer, wine shop and more. From here you can pay a visit to Como down south but also to discover the north side of the lake or visit (by car) Varenna, Porlezza or even a visit to Lugano and Milan.

The hosts were very helpful and very pleasant. The accommodation is right on the lake shore, with a garden overlooking the lake. Everything was great, the kitchen equipment, both the bedrooms, the cozy living room, both bathrooms (bath and shower). Nice location. Parking in front. Strongly recommend this accommodation.

Acquaseria is a working village and as such is much less tourist-orientated than the nearest town of Menaggio, although that too is a great place for a holiday. The village shop keepers and restaurant owners are very friendly and can provide for most of your needs, whilst anything else can be obtained in one of the supermarkets, which are a few minutes drive away, (or an hour walk, if you're feeling energetic). The older part of the village is also worth visiting, but it is a bit of a climb up from the main road.
