We had an opportunity of staying in HIMASAILAM RESORT, VAGAMON, Kerala, recently for two nights (17th & 18th April-24). Himasailam resort is a newly opened resort in Vagamon (Kerala), 96km away from Kochi international airport. The resort is located at the top of a hill from where one can have a beautiful view of all surrounding hills and valleys. The view from resort is breathtaking and matchless. Particularly the morning views at the sun raise is exotic. The resort is having a comfortable parking area. It is a calm and quite leisure place to enjoy tension free life. The resort is located in the Kurissumala-Thangal para road (off Irattapetta-Vagamon road). The approach to the resort is little difficult 9with unpaved patches) but manageable. One can reach the hotel in care itself. On entering the resort, we could a see a decent waiting area and the reception counter. The service by the personnels in the reception counter was superb. The room which was allotted to me was 301(on the first floor). The room was very neat, spacious with ample ventilation and lighting. The room had a balcony from where the view was superb. The toilet/bath was very neat and comfortable with ample supply of toiletries. The room was provided with tea/coffee making arrangement with ample supply of tea/coffee materials, water etc. The room had only a ceiling fan (it seems AC is not provided in the hotels here). This made our room little hot during nights. I found the services of house keeping & room service as excellent. A small restaurant is provided on the ground floor behind reception area. The breakfast and other food items served here were very good. The resort also has many other facilities such as a swimming pool, a beautiful garden etc The resort is on a centrally located hill which makes it easier for us to visit various important picnic spots in Vagamon.

1) One of the room was upgraded to a suite. 2) The room especially the suite was huge and spacious. 3) Both rooms had attached balcony which was very spacious and ideal for sitting together with family and have a good chit-chat or family bonding time.

Its a nice place away from the city if u dont have anything to do and just want to relax and have bfast in ur room! I initially got a room with no view. And i was disappointed BUT the awesome manager managed to fix it by getting me a room with view! Loved the breakfast! Good spread! Friendly ppl but more amenities like spa gym swimming pool all can be added. You only can travel by car. VERY DANGEROUS RIDE IN IF AT NIGHT.

The view from the cottage was really nice. Wifi was also good. Quiet and peaceful surroundings

Room as well as the property was neat, comfortable, and friendly. However I feel the rates are high. I was charged Rs 2800 per room totalling 5600 though in the app it showed 5000 total, which is also high. The breakfast provided may not be liked by all though I had no problem with it. They don't have a restaurant or regular kitchen and will provide pre ordered meals with a large fee for transport. All in all, some good points and some bad.

During our stay at Rock view Resort, we found the staff to be incredibly friendly and accommodating. Their genuine hospitality enhanced our overall experience at the hotel, and we truly appreciated their kindness and professionalism.
