    We came to visit family.

We came to visit family. The hotel is so convenient to everything. NCW is a great base for touring around - Tralee and Killarney not far one way and Adare and Limerick the other. There is a bus stop outside the hotel to get you to either of them. People are nice and friendly here but town needs a bit of livening up. Many empty buildings. Lovely boutiques and some lovely small individual shops there. We had fish & chips in the square very nice and coffee in a little coffee shop in a mall.

Newcastle West is my hometown so I'm biased but I hadn't been back for a very long time. It has changed, so many businesses have sadly gone and the town is a lot quieter. That said it's still a pretty town with a castle and a pretty river (Arra) running through it. The Demesne is a wonderful walk through nature. The people are still lovely, which is the most important thing! We stayed at the Longcourt House Hotel, which is excellently run.

Newcastle West is a lovely place, loads to see and do.

Newcastle West is a lovely place, loads to see and do. The Staff were very friendly and supportive to our needs. Food - absolutely delicious plenty to eat. Cleanliness of the hotel is outstanding. Couldn't fault a thing. Music was good along with the craic. We have stayed on a number of occasions and always loved it more each time we go there. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
