It was our first visit to Bintan and I am glad that we chose Trikora beach resort for our stay. I stayed at the resort for 2 nights on weekdays and had a memorable stay. Mr Dadan and Ms Eva were very helpful to pass on information even before we visited - like the transport, restaurant menu, beach sports and including the costs - which helped me plan the costing properly. I stayed at the deluxe beach room and the view from the room is exactly as shown in the photos. For those who like a room with a view, spending extra for this is worth it. This is recommended for those who would like to spend time near the beach. There are not many water sports but there is kayaking, sup and snorkelling option. It is not white nor it has smooth sand, but the beach is very good. The restaurant staff were well mannered and their service was good. The employees were very kind as you often find with Indonesian hospitality. Beds were quite comfortable, but needed newer linens and pillows. The place has the potential to be a lot better, but needs to be fixed up. It is fine if you really want to feel like you are vacationing like a local. We were expecting it to be simple, but not so shabby, especially for what we paid.

The staff is friendly and very helpful. It felt like coming home every day. They think along with you. The resort is also well located. The beach is a 15-minute drive away and activities are well taken care of. The facilities in the hotel are great, swimming pool and massage were very nice. The hotel is very flexible. You don't have to book an activity in advance, it can be done at any time. The resort is only 1 hour from the ferry terminal. The food is delicious at the resort! My best experience in Asia!
It was a very relaxing trip. We especially enjoyed the jacuzzi in our room which faces the sea. We also enjoyed the snorkeling trip, the staff who went with us helped us to take pictures underwater. The equipment provided was safe and also adequate. The whole resort feels tranquil. Would be better if there is a gym.

Totally enjoyed the experience and recommended Teluk Bakau to friends who have already made bookings at various resorts already.
Transport suggest you get rental car much better to see all the sights and experience the local culture. Previously worked and resided in Indonesia for close to 8 years & lived on Lombok. Visited so many places then but would now rate Teluk Bakau highly, this is still the real Indonesia.
