Nearest beach to Jakarta .... max 2-1/2 ~ 3 hrs drive. Good toll connection and non-toll part is quite improved now ! Not many great hotels as all old ones are quite run down ! But few new excellent options have come up like Novus Jiva / Aston / Double G etc and they have great facilities and view settings. Chose depending on what you like......resort setting Or beach ?? This is not Bali Or Phuket ...so don't raise your expectations too high ! Few nice sea-food joints opposite Marbella and along the stretch...can't remember the names as all look similar !

There are some nice hotels for relaxing on a weekend away. *You can visit Anyer Lighthouse for 30,000 Rp to take some photos and read some information in bahasa Indonesia. *Karang Bolong is a beach where you can see a natural arch made from stone, with a long stretch of sandy beach. *25 mins away by car is Carita beach where day trips to Kraratoa leave from. People need to start coming back to this area.
People need to start coming back to this area. It's a very manageable trip by car from Jakarta. Beaches are nice, people are wonderful and they need tourism again to help them recover from the tsunami of December 2018.

Housekeeping was excellent. Staff at the restaurant were very attentive and even offered to bring us coffee or other stuff even when breakfast was a buffet. Not a lot of choices for food, though. The surrounding area is conducive for walking and relaxing espeially when you have small kids.

They have swimming pool, trampoline, swings, and also field to play soccer. Not to mention the beach is clean because the location is private to Aston guests hotel. Only the minus is the beach is full of coral so you can not swim..but still can walk with your sandal or special coral reef shoes.
