Location was great and the staff were really friendly. There were some nice seats at the front of the hotel to chill out at. Hotel was super clean and nicely decorated.

Lovely hotel, pool area is gorgeous and brilliant breakfasts in the morning! The location was brilliant, I’ve been to Hvar a few times but my first time staying here and would stay here from now on! Very nice mix of family and friends here as well. There are a few ways to access this hotel and can access by car from the harbour or a lovely walk but is very hilly

Perfect location in Hvar, just a few steps from the ferry and on the quieter edge of town. The rooms look onto a small beach and a monastery. The rooms (although on the small side) are nicely decorated and beds comfy and all have a sea view. The included breakfast was very good.

Location was amazing. Room was comfortable with a beautiful view of the harbor. Breakfast in the garden was tasty and relaxing. We went on the off-season so it was very quiet – which we also loved.

Hvar is the largest city on the Croatian island of the same name within the Adriatic Sea. The wildly undulating coastline formed a natural harbour here, a fact which didn’t go unnoticed by the Venetians, who captured it as part of their empire. The Venetian Fortress sits atop a hill and 13th-century ramparts descend to the old town.
Another castle from Napoleonic times is on a different hill offering beautiful views over red roofs towards the offshore Pakleni islands sheltering the port. Ferries link Hvar to neighbouring Brač and Vis islands, Split and Ancona in Italy.
Given the size of the city, the amount of Hvar accommodation is staggering, and Booking.com offers everything from luxury hotels with pools to cheap guest houses and beachfront apartments. Although most beaches are rocky, their scenic setting and warm turquoise waters are still a draw.
At the heart of the city is the largest square in Dalmatia. Restaurants and bars spill out onto its cobbles, ending at St Stephen’s Cathedral with its see-through belltower. Around the same time the cathedral was going up, one of Europe’s oldest theatres was constructed in the waterfront Arsenal. The Loggia is the only remain of the Governor’s Palace, and the Hvar Heritage Museum helps to put all this in context.

Beautiful old town.
Beautiful old town. Spectacular view of many surrounded island from the Napoleon trail. The city provided plenty of seating benches throughout the city and rural. I visited other towns in this island that have the same relaxing standards. Thanks to the Croatia government.
However, October was not a good month to get access to island tours and most restaurants. I was told that April to September is when the businesses open fully.

I only went to the old town, arriving by ferry in the evening. Absolutely beautiful but even in October it was way, way over touristed. I decided to stop contributing to the problem myself by changing my plans and leaving early the next morning.

Hvar is incredibly charming and I wish we could have stayed a few more days. It's a high energy environment with young and older tourists alike, gorgeous historic spots like the Fort and really great shopping (dresses, jewelry, pretty handbags on trend all reasonably priced from a Boston perspective).

Hvar is for you if you love being near the water and sitting in the sunshine. Things i wish I’d taken, more cash, many places operate on a cash only basis and they cash machines charge up to €10 to withdraw from. The cheapest bakeries which are also delicious are near the bus station. Bring insect repellent and insect bite treatments and also bring your own sunscreen as it is incredibly expensive to purchase it on the island.
Take shoes you can comfortably walk up and down stairs in and on cobbled streets.
Best places to east for me were Kantun, Coffee snob, sweet treats bakery and Fig Hvar.

Hvar has the most beautiful water I have ever seen, if you take a trip with a taxi boat to one of the smaller island, you'll have a wonderful time. There's a nude beach where fortunately not a lot of people go to cause they're scared of nakedness.
Its super party touristy in the main town. Rich british boys and old white men.. everything is super expensive. There's no buses driving around the island so you'll have to rent a scooter or walk a long distance.
This hotel is all about the location and the great staff and outdoor space. The new pool and outside seating / loungers were a great bonus. Breakfast on the terrace next to the boats was magical. The room was smallish .. though probably felt smaller because our previous hotel room was huge but the view made up for it entirely . We could hear the music from the concerts until the early hours but I think that comes with the territory in Hvar town centre. The black out blinds and double glazing helped a good nights sleep regardless.
Very clean apartment, excellent view from the two balconies, very kind and professional host, modern bathroom, comfy bed and good location.
It takes about 5 minutes to walk down to the centre, and 10 minutes walking back. Lots of stairs. We got a lot of recommandations for what to see and experience in Hvar, and especially what would be best each day dependent on the weather and wind direction.
The photos are true to the apartment, and it was as we pictured it. We can wholeheartedly recommend this apartment and host.
I frequently travel to Hvar and the location is perfect, lovely neighborhood with a gorgeous perspective of the Pakleni Islands, a short walk from center, close to beach bars/restaurants, a supermarket stones throw away.
The hosts (very welcoming) used to work at a luxury hotel and brings that level of quality & service to her apartments (clean and fresh). The apartment has great natural light. I had to take some video meetings and the internet was reliable and there is a decent work station to work from.
the view from the balcony was the best ! the apartment was big - big kitchen, big bathroom, and big bedroom. it was a hike up a hill with luggage but once you got settled in the walk to town was lovely. close to markets if you wanted to eat in or just a short walk into town. the hosts were lovely and helpful with checking in. if you want to forgo the big chain hotels and get a taste of Croatian hospitality - this is the place !
So glad we picked this great room for our lodging on Hvar. The staff from the hotel (the room is part of it but accessible from a different street, yes there are stairs) were so welcoming and helpful, serving welcome drinks and giving all the information we needed for our stay. Perfect location, clean, quiet and nice space on a beautiful street. Delicious breakfast included, get the salty pancakes!
The location (beautiful walk to town) and views
of the hotel are unparalleled. It is amazing value for money. Hotel food is reasonable and ok rather than excellent. I would say it’s like a good four star hotel rather than luxury. Staff were on the whole very nice. It’s very clean. This is our second visit and honestly location wise it’s the best in hvar!
I really enjoyed staying in this hotel. Yes its very old,but the beach, food and staff impress me.
Big super thanks to Aleksandar from reception who was proffessional and Extraordinary and help me and guiding me about the best trips, beaches and places in town and on island Hvar.
Thank you.
We will definitely come again.
We loved our stay at Hotel Podstine - everything you need all in one place. All of the staff were lovely and very helpful, from the front desk to the restaurant and bar staff. The beachfront location was perfect. Would highly recommend and even though we’ve now moved on to Split we miss Podstine and Hvar already!
Best location in Hvar Town right next to the Riva Promenade. Beautiful tastefully designed hotel with amazing breakfast and friendly helpful staff. Loved our spacious suite with a balcony overlooking the port. Our stay could not have been better. Loved this hotel overall.
Location is amazing, right in the heart of Hvar. The room was very clean and tidy. The host Kristina is amazing. She even let us have a late checkout due to our late ferry timings and answered all of our questions. The free breakfast at central park hotel was great.
the room is clean and comfortable , the staff came to ferry port helping us to bring luggage to the hotel , my hubby got injury when we were biking in Hvar, the staff is very helpful , he brought us bandage and ice to handle the swelling wound. highly recommend
Nice hotel & pool
Pool food menu selection is good & good quality
Breakfast is a good selection and standard
Daily bedroom cleaning
Close to Hvar town a short walk up a hill which would be difficult for anyone who has walking disabilities
Bed was comfy
Beautiful location on Milna Beach. Comfortable bed. Great shower . I think it has been recently renovated as the hotel was very clean and fresh. Good buffet breakfast which we could eat next to the beach. Free pick up from Hvar on arrival/ departure
the views off the balcony were incredible. we sat with a bottle of wine and it was heaven. shower and AC were great. the welcome wine was appreciated as well we loved Hvar and part of the reason was this hotel.
Great old style hotel in a small street (quiet) while being nearby all the activities in Hvar
Very nice room with a view to the Port
Great host : advice, help
Excellent breakfast
