You are staying in a guest house on the edge of the village built on the rim of an extinct, or hopefully dormant, volcano.Step out of your room and from the veranda/balcony you have a complete view of the caldera with Santorini directly opposite. Wake up early and watch the sun rise behind Santorini and set the sea inside the caldera on fire. Turn around in the evening and watch the sun plunge into the Aegean as it sets the sky on fire. It's quite on Thirassia. Cars are few and far between, one taxi, no hordes of roaming tourists. This is a great place for long walks, for contemplation and inspiration.
