We had an amazing experience during our stay staring from the amazing host Stauroula who made as feel like home. The apartment we had booked had all the comforts and the breakfast was excellent with many options to choose from and ready for the time requested at your own privacy. We liked to be a bit outside of the center of Areopolis and enjoyed the peace the place had to offer.

Our drive from Athens was Aprox 5 hrs .
Our drive from Athens was Aprox 5 hrs . We opted to stay one night on the way to Neon Oitilon. (Sarandon hotel) 1.5 hrs from Athens airport. The drive to Neon Oitilon then took aprox 3hrs (Tolled motor way each way ) (12 tolls @€1•95- 2.25 )very good roads until you reach Neon Oitilon .(Typical narrow country roads lead down to the village.) The motorway offers a number of good rest stops . We had a 4 night stay . Neon Oitilon is a small sea side village - nestled between to large escarpments. There are great drives and walks. Spectacular scenery . We had hot days and cool evenings . Light jacket is advised for the cooler evenings and am. (May 2022) Apparently it can get cool in the evenings during the height of the season. The AM soon warmed up . There are some nice villages in the surrounding area : Limeni and Aeropolis are a Aprox 5 and 15 min drive The journey to - Gythio and surrounding areas are aprox a 20 -25 min drive. Here you will find a large selection of nice beaches and restaurants. Spectacular scenery all the way . We tried a few restaurants in all the areas we visited. Our favourite beach place was straw beach followed by Glyfada beach in Gythio. Limeni Village has a good choice of Restaurants and eateries / bars .DAVIDUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

A charming village where life goes on as it has done for centuries. We felt lucky to be welcomed. There is a little cafe in the square - where they also do traditional Greek dishes. Not short of churches either!

If someone wants to discover a different kind of Greece,...
If someone wants to discover a different kind of Greece, Mani Peninsula is the right way to do it. The grouper fish is amazing in the area, but you may find other local specialties - try everything, they are quite delighting! And don't hesitate to discover the local people as well - most of them you will definitely remember!

Very conveniently located. During our visit, we used Neon Oitilon as a base and every day we visited a different place in the area. It has a very good beach and it is very close to Limeni and Areopolis where you can find more options for restaurants.

Is a small city but has a nice beach with easy parking and easy to access water to swim. No many choices to eat. We had the opportunity to have good food at our hotel. No many choices for night life. Do not drive through kalamata but through sparring.MiltiadisUnited States

Check-in was luxurious, dinner in the Anerousa restaurant was one-of-a-kind, and the views of the ocean were breathtaking. The room we had were so unique and the spa area was an excellent way to relax in private, and the amenities were abundant. I have nothing but glowing comments for this hotel and their entire staff.

Apart from the attic another bonus point is the balcony! It was huge with an amazing sea view. Made us want to stay in sometimes and cook a nice meal. The kitchen is also suitable for minimal cooking and Ilias, the owner was so friendly and accommodating! The hotel is also pet friendly which is a main criteria for us! The outdoor space can be used for events and celebrations. We went for hiking and cycling and it was fantastic, the area around the hotel was perfect for these activities.

There is a small beach 50 meters from the hotel. Air conditioning was good enough during July hot temperatures. Very good home made breakfast. Great service. Location is good although it is a little on the side of the bay.
