Our trip to Ikaria has been tremendously enhanced due to our stay at Selene. The property is newly refurbished and very chick and clean. Daemon and his family were the best and the homemade breakfast was incredible. Very nice room with great view of the sea.

The bed was super comfy. And there are some spectacular hikes nearby.. not for the faint-hearted, though. Beautiful location. Marina and Despina were terrific hosts and made us feel welcome.

The hotel is in a great location and the sea view is stunning. The pool is a lovely bonus even though I would mostly go to one of the many beaches - but used it twice and it's always clean and comfy. The staff is great, we did have a problem with our room but they swiftly offered to move to another room where everything was fine.

The nearby sandy beaches of Armenistis and Mesakti (especially recommended for surfers) are gorgeous and the fish taverns of Gialiskari have good prices and amazing sea food. Convenient mini markets, a bank and a pharmacy also present in the village. Other beautiful beaches and villages as well as places to experience Ikarian cuisine (don't miss "Tis Popis" traditional tavern just outside Evdilos) are less than 30 minutes drive from Gialiskari, just like the main port of the island (Evdilos).
