In the only Royal Harbour in the country, The Royal Oak Hotel offers marina and harbour views, in the seaside resort of Ramsgate. The town offers tranquil sunsets and lively nightlife at weekends.
Comprised of three Georgian town houses dating back to 1799, this charming, individual hotel in Ramsgate's historic garden crescent has amazing harbour and sea views. Two of the houses are adjoining.

The hotel itself is very clean and we were in the perfect location for a 70th birthday celebration at the pub which was literally across the road. We booked bed & breakfast. The breakfast was very nice and served by very polite staff. Check in / check out was quick and the reception staff were also very polite.

The location is perfect and the views from the living room bay windows were great. It is a very bright property. It was very clean. It is good value for money compared to other flats in Ramsgate. Would definitely choose again.
Offering sea views, Stunning Beach Front Apartment with Sea views, FREE Parking & Balcony is an accommodation situated in Ramsgate, 300 metres from Ramsgate Main Sands Beach and 1.6 km from Pegwell...
Slowly working my way found the thant coastline.
Train station is 20 mins reasonable walking from coast.
Victorian Ellington Park has a decent cafe for breakfast and the walk on way to coast.
Chalk coastline means stairs down to most beaches and looks a bit brutalist in places.
Had a safe feel walking around as a single traveller.
Dog friendly.
Architecture really amazing in places and lots or renovation going on. Harbour interesting and can sit in cafes under the arches.
Not sure about cleanliness of water so not confident to swim here.
St Augustines Church worth a visit. King Edwards Park and Pegwell Bay for the replica Viking ship.
Not sure about nightlife for younger ones but ideal for older beings.
Overall should have spent 2 nights.

We had a lovely stay in the house.
Very clean and cosy with comfortable beds.
The owners are very nice people and left us a bottle of fizz and milk.
Rained off on the Sunday and managed to cook a nice roast there .
Lit the fire, watched a movie pure bliss.
Would without doubt stay again.
Thank you

Very attractive historic town, with plenty of shops and restaurants. Attractive harbour. Good location for exploring East Kent (Isle of Thanet in particular).
We visited local English Heritage sites (Richborough, Deal, Walmer) and did a tour of the Ramsgate Tunnels (all worthwhile).
The Weatherspoons (biggest in UK) was an experience!

Ramsgate is a mixed bag.
Ramsgate is a mixed bag. Sea front, marina and harbour are lovely, with some fantastic restaurants and coffee shops. The town is quite rundown. OK, but not the best.. the new seafront build, I'm hoping, will help the rest come up market a bit more.
But I love this place!
Lovely old square near the seafront and places to eat and drink. The chap who manages our booking and arrival was very polite and after checking that the twin room we had booked had indeed been replaced by a double room - offered a discount as compensation. Mistakes are normal being able to respond is rare. So all good. We were cycling the Cantii way and they very kindly offered to store our bikes in the office overnight. Really important!
Warm welcome, friendly staff, great location for our needs - right on bus route to travel easily around the area including margate and broadstairs, so we could leave the car behind (train station about 15-20 min walk away). Convenient free parking right outside the hotel on the street. Description of hotel is true and honest - what you see is what you get... good budget accommodation with everything needed provided :)

Excellent location by the harbour in Ramsgate. I have stayed in a number of properties where the owner provides the minimum possible in terms of facilities and the quality of fittings etc. This property is an exception, it was well equipped (two fridges, quality cutlery/crockery, lots of bath towels etc.)
An extremely spacious, clean and well stocked apartment.Particularly enjoyed sitting at the table in the dormer window. Easy walking distance to the centre of Ramsgate. Plenty of parking spaces nearby.
Stunning location. On the Seafront. Free parking. 10 minute walk to Marina, Pubs, Live music, Cafes, Restaurants & Amusements . Another short walk to a small high street. It was a great base to visit other Historic Coastal towns & Canterbury. 20 minutes drive approx.
Lovely hotel in the backstreets of Ramsgate. Nice and close to the beach, up a quiet road. The breakfast was basic but nice, and as described. The room (room one) was very large and the bed very comfortable. All the staff were friendly too.
Everything! Beautiful decor, retro tweaks... Great location - easy access to Ramsgate and Broadstairs on foot. Cute garden but sadly weather was not good enough to use. Lovely treats and message left by the owner. Great communication too!
A beautiful flat in a perfect location with a fantastic host. Ramsgate is a beautiful part of the country, and the stay at Albert Road made it that much better. My daughter and I loved it and will be returning. Very highly recommended.
Good location in the heart of Ramsgate. Close to the port and other beaches were within walking distance. Half the price of other hotels in the area at the time. Friendly neighbours who tried to help contact host.
The room we chose was quite and suitable for a family of 4 and on the top floor during busy nights. the location of the hotel between broadstaris and ramsgate. and a beautiful large park to take the 2 children.
A nice villiage hotel with a friendly local pub. except for a small mold problem in the bathroom which the landlord promised to fix this week all wasas clean and hospitable as one could expect.
The view was very good, looking straight on to the harbour. There was no food available in the hotel, but there were arrangements to dine at some local cafes.
