Onich Hotel & Lochside Beach Pods, hotel in Onich

With dramatic mountain views and a stunning loch-side setting, this family-run hotel offers attractive, individually decorated rooms and beautiful gardens.

Stayed here before. It has been refurbished since our last visit. Beautiful room with seating area. We paid more for a larger room with a view. Some rooms are smaller with a view. Views on to the Sea Loch and mountains, over their colourful garden. Can walk in their garden and along short stretch of shoreline. Large decking area to sit out on. Meals were excellent.

Busy location due to the ferry crossing nearby but it didn’t bother us. Very friendly personnel. Breakfast was good and super in the inn was excellent.

Onich is really well positioned to visit some great places.

Onich is really well positioned to visit some great places. Ben Nevis is at Fort William, with the delicious whiskey distillery at its foot. Definitely visit Loch Shiel (famous filming location) and the viaduct at Glenfinnan (as seen in Harry Potter). You'll be totally spoilt with the stunning scenery on the way to and from Eilean Donan castle on Loch Duich - it's a bit of a drive but so, so worth it.

The view of the loch was good.

The view of the loch was good. It was a stormy day and night, but that was an interesting view too. It was a small simple room, which is all we need. I could do without the TV. The picture on the website made it super easy to spot as we approached. This was a great location for a stopover between things we did.

The Onich hotel is in a spectacular setting. We have stayed here before, we loved our stay then and we loved it this time too. The room and facilities were all one might expect and the food was top rate. We'll definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

    Loved the location.

Loved the location. Our room had a balcony and a fantastic view over Loch Linnhe. They have an excellent chef and evening meals were delicious & reasonably priced. They also had a well stocked bar. The owner, manager and staff were all very polite and helpful and it was so good we opted to stay another night. Not everyone enjoys a buffet breakfast but it was good quality and suited us except for the food not being hot enough. However this was quickly rectified & hopefully won’t be a problem in the future.

    Excellent location and room.

Excellent location and room. The owners are evidently investing a lot to update the hotel and when complete will be very good. The owners are very helpful and friendly but their staff let them down with their lack of professionalism.

This property is located above Loch Linnhe and the views of the Loch are incredible from the big picture windows. The hosts were extremely responsive and friendly. The cottage was spotless and incredibly cute. Our cottage was a little small for three adults (I was traveling with my 2 adult children) but it was cozy and perfect for our purposes. There is a hotel within walking distance where we got dinner and Glencoe is only a short drive for excellent breakfast. I would definitely stay here again.

Location is great - right next to the ferry terminal and close to Glencoe hiking trails. Host was one of the friendliest and most helpful person I’ve met - gave us lots of useful recommendations and made our reservation in the restaurant. There’s waching machine in the drier room where you can dry your clothes. You can put you food into special container (that has your room number on it) and use fridge as well (we had one in the room too). Comfy beds and clean rooms!

The back of the hotel is in a beautiful setting overlooking the lake, with nice gardens. Our room, which had a balcony, and overlooked the lake was very spacious and had two comfortable seats. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The food, especially in the restaurant for an evening meal, was excellent. So too was the buffet breakfast, with a very wide choice.

Breakfast really nice. Location brilliant. Bed comfortable. Nice shower room. Restaurant food really nice but see below. Staff were slightly lacking in confidence regarding guest relation skills. This isn’t meant to be a big criticism as the staff were pleasant and friendly but didn’t just make us feel as though we were part of the bigger picture of staff and guests.

Fantastic hosts, who provided us with a comfortable home setting away from home. Comfortable bed, shower great and good breakfast to start the day. Mairi also guided us to get medical care after I got knee injury and to amazing local cafes, restaurants and sites. Our preferred one was Lochleven Seafood Cafe! Superb!

The room was spacious and beautifully decorated and there was food and drink in the 'fridge which I didn't expect. We took a ride on the ferry (free for foot passengers) to the other side of the loch although there wasn't really anything over there. We enjoyed it though and we saw a seal!

Beautiful location, for exploring the mountains, with a small private beach. We just need to revisit in the summer to take full advantage of the beach. The Onich Hotel was only 2 minutes walk away, gorgeous food and very friendly staff who accommodated our party of 6 with 2 dogs no problem

Gary served one of the best breakfasts we had the entire trip. The surrounding scenery is gorgeous. I forget the name of the place but he steered us to a restaurant on the other side of the lake where we had an incredible seafood meal.
