It does seem like the owner was thoughtful when they started out, but the place wasn't maintained throughout time... for us, the location was great since we were out all day traveling through the cotswold. The mattresses were comfortable.

The Wychwood in is well located on the main road so it is easy to access. The staff are pleasant, the food is very good and the establishment is very clean. There is a garden at the back of the property and there is car parking.

My partner and myself loved everything about it. Sean and Gemma were wonderful so friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. They are a credit to the hotel. The evening meal was superb and the breakfast was just as nice with plenty of choice. Our room was luxurious, comfortable and clean. We honestly couldn't fault anything about our stay, we found a little gem and would definitely return, also recommend to anyone who is planning on visiting the Cotswolds to stay here. Bampton is a pretty place and an ideal touring base. Thank you to the Fleur de lys and especially to Sean and Gemma for making our stay a special one.
