We booked this hotel for an evening before starting a cruise the location is great and close to the terminals. The room was large , extremely comfortable, and clean. The concierge and front desk were very helpful. We arrived very early, and the room not surprisingly wasn't ready, so we were able to leave our luggage which was delivered to our room when we got back later which we found had been upgraded and had a small balcony. We tried the bar Leo's and had dinner in the Marco Pierre White restaurant and it was delicious, great staff there too. I would definitely recommend and stay again when in the area.

We ate Sunday lunch at The Boathouse, which was delicious.
We ate Sunday lunch at The Boathouse, which was delicious. The weather was bad so we didnt go far. Another time we will catch the ferry to Southampton. On the way out we saw Hythe town centre and it looked a nice place to wander through. We will be back.

Nice little town with shops, pubs, restaurants and waterfront walks. Even a French market on a Wednesday. A small gauge railway takes you to the end of the pier where you get a ferry to Southampton and return. Lovely!

Hythe is a beautiful and peaceful village not far from several beaches and a stone's throw from the New Forest. The Boathouse Hotel is a beautiful hotel with very friendly staff that are very attentive to one's needs, and their cuisine also is outstanding in my opinion.

Hythe centre is tiny, but will particularly suit older travellers well as it is easy to explore, has a few nice individual shops plus two supermarkets and a few pleasant cafes/restaurants. It is right on the coast with pleasant walks, good views across a busy waterway and has good parking for 2 hour stays.
Bus tours run from there and a ferry takes you across Southampton Water to the City. It is on the edge of the New Forest and not far to Lymington, Beaulieu and Exbury Gardens.

Small double room def small! Bathroom seemed more spacious.
Small double room def small! Bathroom seemed more spacious. No room for suitcase in bedroom of clothes storage. Had to place suitcase on bathroom floor to access it.
Restaurant service appalling - slow, inexperienced staff and too few of them. Smallest piece of haddock in world served with fish and chips.

What should be a smart hotel on a marina lacks attention to...
What should be a smart hotel on a marina lacks attention to detail Salt and pepper pots empty, cutlery random, glasses being wiped with dirty clothes, tables left uncleared etc. Promising breakfast but charging extra for anything other than a sparse continental. General lack of management.
Staff were excellent and very welcoming. Continental breakfast included was a nice touch, with paid breakfast options also very well priced. Plenty of parking available and located in a stunning and quiet area with a great view of the marina, and a short stroll's distance to ferry/bus links to get into Southampton City centre. Fridge and Ironing facilities included in the room also very appreciated! Bed was very comfortable and we slept very well.
This place was fantastic, very clean, comfortable and homely place. The location couldn’t get any better as it was situated in the heart of Hythe with plenty of wonderful pubs/ restaurants and any amenity needed such as the main large supermarket chains. Elizabeth and Martin were fantastic and made us feel very welcome, recommending places of interest as well as their kindness and flexibility during our stay.
Highly recommend this place!
From start to finish the staff made us feel welcome, they were all very friendly while paying every attention to detail. Our room was beyond our expectations - spacious, clean, beautifully furnished and with a spectacular view over the Solent. Every meal that we had was delicious, well presented and great value for money - one of the best breakfasts that I have ever had at a hotel.
Huge room with panoramic view of Hythe Marina/Southampton Water and a huge flat screen television, all furnished in modern, almost minimalistic, style. The impressively large en-suite bathroom had a stand-alone bath, separate walk in shower and double Continental washbasins. Simply sumptuous all round whilst the cooked breakfast was yet another invitation to over-indulge.
The staff are lovely, the location is fabulous with views over Southampton Water and Hythe Marina - you need not even leave the hotel to see interesting things -passenger liners, commercial vessels, ferries and yachts coming and going. The food is very good. Hythe is a lovely little town, with ferry service to Southampton city and is an ideal centre for a holiday.
Excellent breakfasts - can't fault them.
Very well located for training with Fire Aid which is a very easy walk from the accommodation
Opposite Lidl which is very convenient.
Short walk in the other direction to Hythe centre
Location was great and the views looking out over the Marina Village and the Solent beyond were wonderful. The food in their restaurant in the hotel was very good with a lot of variety.
Lovely welcome from Elizabeth and Martin. Great breakfast and ideal location for the Hythe Pier Railway link to Southampton and onwards to Isle of Wight. Big thank you.
