Malkin Wood Studio - 15 min walk to Holmfirth centre, hotel in Holmbridge

Offering quiet street views, Malkin Wood Studio - 15 min walk to Holmfirth centre is an accommodation set in Holmbridge, 23 km from Victoria Theatre and 34 km from Heaton Park.

It's cosy room with everything you need, including a little kitchenette and bathroom. The location was perfect for us to go to a wedding at the Holmfirth Vinyard, 5 mins in a taxi. It's a nice touch having breakfast available - toast and jams. The underfloor heating was amazing too!

The Rose and Crown, hotel in Holmbridge

A 15-minute drive from Huddersfield, this traditional pub offers à la carte dining and a range of real ales. It is situated in the heart of Thustonland village, and offers free Wi-Fi.

Lovely country pub. The room was pleasant, and the bed super comfortable. Thin walls so you could hear easily others but wasn’t an issue. I ate in the pub and the food was great, a really extensive menu, and everything coming from the kitchen looked lovely. Very friendly attentive staff.

Holmbridge is a great location for anyone looking for a proper break/disconnect to the countryside. Holmfirth which is the bigger town is just over a mile - and it's a lovely pleasent walk. The Pickled Pheasent is an amazing place to stay, very cosy, warm and run by a family who care about customers. The Holmfirth Vineyard is is Holmbridge - a good walking route from the Pickled Pheasent. It's a really nice day out if you do the wine tour and tasting, and include lunch. There a multiple walks from the Pickled Pheasent - and they are very varied (forests/hills/resovoirs) so it's a great spot for keen walkers! I would go again to Holmbridge and Holmfirth, it's a lovely spot.

We didn’t get the opportunity to explore Holmbridge during our stay as our reason for staying was to attend a wedding but it’s a lovely, quaint village with plenty of amenities, stunning surroundings and beautiful walks.

It is a lovely area with many picturesque walks. There are lots of eateries to choose from, 'The Catch' is an excellent fish restaurant I would recommend. The Holmfirth Winery is minutes drive away and well worth visiting. The wine tour and afternoon Tea were excellent.

The pickled pheasant looked newly refurbished as the finish of the rooms, Bar and restaurant was to a good standard and the en-suite was particularly good, A very comfy bed and great views, The staff couldn’t help enough and the choice and quality of the breakfast and Sunday dinner was impressive, I will definitely stay again.

Nice that we were not in the main part of Holmfirth, which would get very busy with tourists. We walked into Holmfirth and got the bus back. We walked around the local reservoir, very nice. Parking is limited because it's old terraced houses which were built before cars were around, so you can't have the nice atmosphere without it being a little bit inconvenient!
