The small double room was very clean and well decorated. Overall, the whole property i would say looks very pretty.

Hinderwell is a lovely village close to coast and countryside. It has some nice facilities including an excellent butcher, tea room and 2 pubs serving food. There are varied activities at the village hall and the Hub which visitors are welcome to join in, for example yoga. We felt welcomed into the local community and will definitely visit again.
The only issue was that some facilities don't open on Mondays and/or Tuesdays.

Definitely a great place for scenic walks either over cliff tops or nearby moors. Not much in the way of eating places or restaurants, so either be prepared to be self sufficient or travel. Wi-fi wasn't 100% in all rooms and caused frustration with the kids.

Perfect spot for walking to Staithes and runswick bay as well as the beach nearby at port Mulgrave. Lovely little cafe for breakfast/lunch. Pubs are lovely, reasonably priced too and great staff in both. Chippy is spot on. 2 min car ride to a good coop for everything you need. We didn’t need the car the whole time we were there.

Hinderwell is in a great location for exploring surrounding area, with cliff top walks nearby, beautiful Staithes within half an hour walking distance, and Whitby only a few miles down the coastal road.
Drive a couple of miles further inland to enjoy tranquility and beauty of the purple heather covered North York Moors.
Great fish and chip shop in Hinderwell and a couple of pubs to choose from.
Very clean, great view, good size lounge/ diner, very well equipped kitchen and nice to have some basics provided (tea, coffee, milk, salt & pepper, foil, cling film etc). Coastal path on the doorstep and pubs in walking distance (quite busy with walkers in front of the apartment for those who may prefer complete privacy). Great location for visiting local beaches etc, can even get the bus from Hinderwell if you don't fancy driving!
The views from the front window was exceptional, looking over the headlands. Very clean and tidy place, with a 20 minute walk to the Badger Hound pub in Hinderwell. 2 very comfy double bedrooms, one on suite. TV very easy to operate, which isn’t always the case with these new Smart TVs. Nice to be able to walk either way from the property as it’s on the coastal path.
The cottage is located on a bigger complex of caravans and hotel rooms, but it felt private. The village of Hinderwell is small and beautiful, with easy access to all of the lovely towns and villages along the coast. The hosts were so friendly and helpful, and the cottage comfortably fit our family of 10, plus our dog, which we loved!
lovely hotel, very quiet and slept like a king. bed was extremely comfy. lovely quiet location ideal for anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the world! The lady manager was fantastic and looked after us very well.
Great location, walking distance to Hinderwell , Runswick Bay etc,
Great value for money
Clean property with comfortable beds
Had everything we needed for a short stay.
Loved outdoor garden space and views to the sea.
What a find! A fantastic place to stay with a warm and welcoming host. Some really nice little touches that made the stay feel special. Would absolutely recommend this place if staying in Hinderwell
the setting and the views out to sea. also liked the decor and the comfortable bed. Near an excellent restaurant, No. 20, within walking distance! also pub in Hinderwell - The Badger Hounds was good
