Literally. Everything. From the warm welcome and ambience to the incredibly beautiful rooms - it was impeccable. The food, both dinner and breakfast were insane. Highly recommend the Tarte Tatin - I'd go back just for this! I honestly cannot recommend Duncombe Arms enough, I wanted to sign up to become a live in resident. I didnt want to leave. I will definitely be back, and will be recommending to anyone and everyone!

Travelling for Alton Towers this was a lovely little stop for the night before moving on to Alton.
Nice small compact room and lovely cosy little bar area for evening meal and a few drinks.
The food in the bar area was exceptional, though check the timings, the bar was only open from 7pm for food, don't know if that's normal.

Callow Hall is a gorgeous historic property, the styling is immaculate and immediately creates a relaxing and welcoming environment. We decided to stay in one of the Hives and I’m so glad we did, Rosebay was situated in the middle of the woods next to the hotel and the views of the countryside and bluebells were beautiful and calming. The food and drink was also excellent. The staff were professional but laid back. We can’t recommend highly enough!

We stayed in Denstone as we had booked tickets for Alton towers. The park is about 15 mins away. We went to a fee local pubs and take aways suggested by our B&B. The views are amazing and if you like Country walks you will love Denstone. Lots of open space but close to little villages if you need supplies.

Denstone is a lovely village in the peak district with much to offer. The farm shop, café and gift shop especially is well worth a visit. Ashbourne is only approximately 6 miles away and is a really interesting town with many individual shops. St Oswalds church in Ashbourne is well worth visiting. Tt is the size of a small cathedral with lots to look at inside. There are so many little villages to travel to near Denstone and most have something to see or do. There are several eating places nearby including pubs and restaurants of various levels. A car is really essential to get around the area or bicycles as an alternative. A great place to spend a weekend break away.
Heywood Hall is great, it's in a lovely little village, close to a pub and 15 minutes from Alton Towers. The room was lovely, impeccably clean, very well equipped kitchen and furniture wise. The welcome was lovely, the room was very comfortable and had everything I needed and more. For the price this is much more enjoyable than staying in a budget hotel in my view. Great to be able to make my own food, relax on the sofa. The bed was very comfy and the shower was great too.
I would highly recommend staying here. We had a very friendly welcome and the room was lovely and clean and had everything we needed. The couple who own the B&B were really lovely we could have stayed longer listening to their stories so friendly and the personal touch made a difference from a busy Hotel. Beautiful location surrounded by fields what more could you want.
Lovely village location. Close to Alton Towers for trips to the park and waterpark over 2 days. Great facilities, artwork on the walls a nice touch for the kids. Denstone Farm shop just round the corner and Tavern pub whether you want to eat in or out. Walks and cycle path on the doorstep.
Gorgeous little bnb. Added extras to make stay super comfortable like fridge, teas, water. Breakfast was delicious and host John was a delight. 5 minutes from Alton and you can pop to a local restaurant or get delivery to your room x much better than staying in alton towers Hotel.
The owners where really friendly and accommodating. Fresh crisp comfortable bedding. Best pancakes me and my daughter ever had! Really peaceful place! Short drive to Alton Towers. Iv stayed in many bnbs and hotels. But this is by far the best one <3
We usually stay in hotels, so wasn't sure what to expect from a bed and breakfast, but we were pleasantly surprised. The location was great and John was an excellent host. He cooked a very good breakfast.
