Clapham is a really nice village in the Yorkshire dales.
Clapham is a really nice village in the Yorkshire dales. It is an Ideal base for country walks and mountain walks. You can easily access the remote areas of the dales where you would not see another person all day long. I might regret having said that

Lovely place in the middle of the countryside about 20 miles due East(ish) of Lancaster. Small, quite sleepy village about 1 mile from the station which provides connections to Lancaster and Leeds (and more places I'm sure!). Safe and friendly with nice river flowing through it.

Clapham is a beautiful village. We went beginning of July.
Clapham is a beautiful village. We went beginning of July. It was so quiet. I suspect in high tourist season it can be busy but during our stay Covid restrictions were still in place so no oversees visitors. Clapham has no nightlife so if that's what you want this us not the place to stay. If you want an evening stroll in a pretty little village this is beautiful place.
Clapham is the entry point to the Farrer trail that takes you to Ingleborough cave and beyond - beautiful!

Clapham is a very interesting, beautiful village on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. Lots to see in the village, but Covid restrictions meant some of the little cafes and shops were closed. Lots of old buildings to admire and the village 'improvements' made by the Farrer family are worth investigating.
great hotel and restaurant room was very clean and had all we needed.
The restaurant was lovely with candle lit tables which was a great finishing touch the food was excellent and the staff were friendly and hard working .
The hotel location is also great with everywhere close by and easy to reach.
would definitely recommend this hotel and hopefully we will return soon
Lovely hotel all room facilities spot on .. ..
Wr have stayed here numerous times before and the village of Clapham is quaint and endearing ..
we ate in the hotel and the food was faultless by far one the the best meals we have had recently ..
We also took our dog to stay and nothing was too much trouble for them at all ..
The location of the hotel is just delightful. Picturesque little stone village, with beautiful beck and 4 stone bridges, nestled under Ingleborough. The hotel was a delight too. The food, the staff, the room were all excellent. Delicious evening meal and great breakfast. Incredible value for money. We'll definitely be back.
The hotel is perfectly situated in a brilliant location. Rooms were super in terms of space and cleanliness. Staff were amazing and the atmosphere in the bar was very welcoming. One evening a group of local musicians meet in the bar and perform great traditional folk music.
A very comfortable coaching inn located in the centre of Clapham. Ample private car parking. Nice and well equipped bedroom including an iron. Excellent food and service for dinner and breakfast. A short stroll to the nearby Ingleton Estate Nature Trail.
Very good pub in the Yorkshire Dales. Clapham is an excellent place to stay if you want to get out into the countryside. Food good and staff were very welcoming.
We loved this hotel. It's old but refurbished, beautifully located in the tiny village of Clapham, comfortable, friendly, with delicious dinner and breakfast.
