Staff were very helpful and friendly. I was traveling with my son and all though we arrived very late in the evening after the kitchen staff had finished, they had prepared a cold platter for us to enjoy on arrival which was very enjoyable. At the same time we left early morning and they gave us a take away breakfast to enjoy on our journey. We will definitely be back.

We stayed at the start of the summer holidays and hence were caught up in heavy traffic on the A20 enroute to Dover. Apparently that happens quite frequently, so factor this in to travel times. The Bowl Inn is not actually in Charing but about 2 miles from the village down a narrow and windy country lane. The pub is on its own with hardly any other buildings within walking distance. Charing itself is an extremely attractive village and well worth a visit for an hour or so.
