The staff were fantastic. I left something behind and I emailed them after I left. They responded quickly and helpfully. I sent a stamped addressed envelope to the hotel and they popped it inside and gave it to the postman (no post office in town) They were super helpful throughout

Beautiful location double bedroom was spacious but bathroom a little small shower cubicle door opened onto toilet but I appreciate it’s an old building it was beautifully clean and towels lovely and white and fluffy small point did not spoil stay great stay with dog who was made very welcome , great pub menu best pizza I have had , and fabulous fish and chips on first night . Staff couldn’t have been more helpful , hotel has recently been refurbished

The welcome you receive to this beautiful part of Scotland is great…example….Christmas day dinner was all fully booked in Arrochar…Lochside guest staff helped Gary and myself out by cooking a full dinner in there own leisure time after there work came back to the guest house and looked after us both. Full turkey dinner with all the trims chocolates etc.. unbelievable…luvs to you all…

Stunning scenery, great walks . Lots of nice place's to eat. Most places welcome dogs. Nice friendly local people. If you want to relax in nature this is the place to go. My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Ardlui Retreat.
My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Ardlui Retreat. Perfect location with gorgeous view and it's not too far from the Lake site. The rooms were well maintained and felt comfortable. I slept so comfortably. As we like to cook our own food I felt the kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need. Staff were so helpful and did their best to help with anything we would need. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a good stay especially my parents who were long way from home were overwhelmed with the beauty and hospitality. Excellent location, private second floor ensuite room with a view of the mountains and loch, very delicious breakfast. Easy check-in with a courteous receptionist. After leaving I realised whilst on my onward journey to Oban I'd left my phone charger in the room, I phoned the hotel and the staff very kindly reserved it for me to collect three days later.

Hotel was clean and in a great location with a good view. But the rooms outdated are outdated and need work. Mouldy showers, no ventilation, rooms very stuffy. No toilet paper left in the rooms. No shower gel or shampoo. Staff were staring at people whilst eating Gossiping loudly. Breakfast was empty and not filled in the morning.

It was my birthday, and Melissa treated me to freshly cut flowers and a celebratory drink. The location is gorgeous and perfect for bagging several Munros—we did Ben Narnainne, Ime, and Vane—and our room offered a stunning view across Loch Long to the Cobbler. We love a cooked breakfast, and the additional pastries were a nice surprise. Melissa and Paul were able to fit an extra bed in our room so a friend could join us. We felt very well looked after.

The cottage is very nice with everything you need for a home from home stay. Very clean inside with comfy furniture and a very comfy bed. The views from the lounge and bedroom windows was breath taking and even better when viewing from outside ! Simply stunning views of the Arrochar alps and loch Long. Thank you for a lovely if not rather damp stay.

Hotel was in lovely setting and clean, however the hotel is tired and in need of a lot of modernisation. The windows were sealed shut so no ventilation in hot bedrooms or stairwells.
