The restaurant is really special. The cook Anthony is very good, the tastes were superb for something as simple as chips which were super delicious to full plates of crudités and very delicious deserts with flavours and textures very well balanced.
The staff also couldn't have been more helpful. They made it a pleasure.

The owner was very kind and enthusiastic, and we had a great time talking with him. Breakfast was plentiful and everything was delicious! We have an interesting experience of being invited to a small old castle.
The staff were friendly and efficient. The decor was stylish and unique. The food was delicious and the wine choice lengthy. The grounds were large and beautiful. The bed was possibly the most comfortable we have slept in!

The dining room was beautiful and, lit by lots of candles, had a lovely atmosphere for dinner. The meal was really tasty and quite adequate - and seconds were offered of the main course. Our hostess was charming, and so were her two Scottie dogs who greet guests enthusiastically.
Fantastic retreat which made us feel like chatelains. The suite was superb and the view on the morning dew eerie. Staff was welcoming and helpful, let alone the candle-lit dinner which topped the experience. We only booked Saint-Paterne almost randomly as we needed a break half-way through our trip. Now I'm afraid this might become a regular stop.
The owners are supernice! They are so helpful, even lent me a bike and drove me to the airport. This is not a hotel stay, it's a whole experience! The first night, I stayed in an amazing historic room in the chateau, the second, out in the woods. The dinners and breakfasts were also great. If you stay here, you will not be disappointed!
Incredible hotel! From the second you arrive it feels special. Siggy (the hotel owner) greeted us and showed us around the grounds and facilities. The decor is sublime, it feels a very special place.
Dinner was amazing (set menu for all). Tasty and plenty of it. A wonderful evening.
The location was lovely, the staff were lovely and the grounds were lovely too. The goats and chickens entertained us, and the accommodation was comfortable. A lovely change from chains and corporate hotels.
