Lovely hotel. Well situated in the centre of La Couarde. Our room was spacious and very airy, well kitted out and with two separate beds (by prior arrangement) which isn’t that easy to get, surprisingly. Decoration was very tasteful and all very clean. Staff were very friendly and attentive, even remembering that my travel partner was ill and enquiring about him. Breakfast very nice: excellent bread and croissants and nice touches like choice of salted/unsalted Charente butter, freshly squeezed orange juice and Ile de Re honey.

The hotel is very cute, decoration very nice,very quiet. Decent size swimming pool. You can rent bicycle directly from the hotel, which make life easier. The breakfast is amazing and staff is very nice. It is a very relaxing place, I would love to come back.

Absolutely loved this location! Wonderful place to stay on the island. The owner and family were really great about my wife’s allergies to certain foods. They were very patient as our French is not great. Lovely people!
