We were very impressed with Paimpol & the surrounding area,...
We were very impressed with Paimpol & the surrounding area, both coastal & inland, but in full season it could be very difficult to get around & park. There are plenty of shops & restaurants but we only ate home-cooked food. The ruined Abbey de Beauport is well worth a visit, with lovely coastal walking areas in and around the grounds. It also had excellent parking & a cafe. We would recommend a stay in Paimpol but not in the full holiday season.

Paimpol is a large town compared with many of its neighbours. There are plenty of shops and restaurants but we did not find any outstandingly good. It came to life on the Tuesday with a very large market which occupies several streets and squares in the town. The bars were full and the atmosphere was lively.

Nice little town, lots of interesting shops and restaurants, everything very close by, small independent shops and supermarkets, hardware stores garages and the like, touristy but obviously popular with locals as well.

Great place for a stopover, lots of boating activity, great quayside restaurants and a visit to nearby " Brehat " island is a must. Very accessible by car with many other lovely resorts worth visiting

The apartment itself was spacious (the largest we've had in France), comfortable and the amenities were very much appreciated. We loved having a space where we could work, visit, and relax. It is “downtown” so noisier at night. Well worth exploring the coastal walking route GR34, north & south from the town. Treguier easy bus ride (though not frequent). You can rent an e-bike from Haute Keranos hotel, about a mile out of town.
