Montieramey seems like a lovely village in the middle of nowhere. We really enjoyed staying in the French countryside of Champagne surrounded by nature and cows. (It was not a surprise that there was not really much public transport there...)

Hotel is clean and tidy and close to the Grand Lacs (Orient, Temple and Chantecoq) on a main road. Didn't have very high expectations as only wanted a bed for the night and an evening meal. It was OK, not great, but OK. Facilities were pretty basic compared to similar price hotel I stayed at in Saint Jean de Maurienne (which had air con and a mini fridge in the room).

We had a refurbished room with modern bathroom fittings. An independent hotel where the proprietors work hard to maintain a sense of the past as well as striving to compete with current expectations. Also very convenient for the Lac d'Orient.
