I randomly selected accommodation on booking and was on my way home. The purpose of the trip was business, I didn't need much, just to wash up and get a good night's sleep. A huge surprise here, a truly wonderful owner. Breakfast at 7:30 was no problem. It wasn't breakfast, it was a royal feast at 7:30 ;) . Of course, the house is clean, wonderfully equipped. Someday I'll get lost there again...

For Marconne, read Hesdin which is where we wanted to visit. Our accommodation was only a few minutes walk into Hesdin’s lovely main square.
The town has a good feel with interesting architecture, shops, cafes, restaurants, with local people going about their business.
The River Canche which flows through the town gives it a slight ‘Bruges’ feel!
The countryside around Hesdin, called 7 Vallées, is very pretty with lovely villages, woods, walks, cycling routes, and many places of historical interest.
