Extremely comfortable, clean and staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The owner gave us an incredible dinner recommendation which was a small restaurant in the next small village and was a truly memorable culinary experience.

Christine and Jean-Pierre are wonderful hosts with excellent contact before, during, and after our stay. There is but a single room which is so cute with unique, creative decorating details and a selection of interesting books should you need reading material. The bed is very comfortable, with ample pillows and blankets, and even thoughtful little rugs to spread on each side of the bed should you so choose. There is plenty of hot water in the wonderful shower (with a waterfall head, so nice!) and lots of towels plus the toiletries that you need (shampoo, soap). And the bathroom is immaculately clean. A simple (croissant, coffee, juice) Breakfast (included) is served a nearby restaurant. Lourmarin is a great location to explore other villages in Provence and we highly recommend this chambre d'hôte.

Loved our host who had information about hiking town to town. I would give it a ten if we had a little more breakfast choice.

The heart of Lourmarin, where we stayed, is extremely beautiful - cobbled streets and restaurants. If you cannot pull your bags for 100m, you may have a problem with staying in the heart, as it is paedestrian zone and the taxi needs to stop outside the zone - make a plan to pull your bag - it’s so worth it and very close to a not particularly friendly or helpful Info office, but still. Cafe Gaby is a win!!!!

Lourmarin is a lovely village with a great choice of cafes and restaurants and a friendly atmosphere. It is a good centre for visiting other areas within Provence. It is only one hour from Marseille Airport, but unfortunately there are poor public transport connections.

Lovely little provencal city with great markets on fridays and lots of good food. Pricey of course as all of France but I really enjoy the boutique shops which offer other clothes than your run of the mill articles that you find everywhere else... I recommend to go off season in may or september and definitively go for the classical music concerts in the chateau. Overall, I felt in love with this area:-)

Terrible, awful experience.
Terrible, awful experience. The worst host I’ve ever experienced - rude, sarcastic and dishonest. Totally disorganised as well, a shambles.
Many charming places to stay, avoid this one like the plague

Easy to spend at least a week in Lormarin and surrounding area. Lots of superb Luberon villages close by, as are Aix and Avignon. At right time of year lavender fields are fantastic (been before).
Lourmarin has multiple food choices from cheap and cheerful through to stylish in lovely environment.
Friday market is great, and there was a weekend Brocante this time, good fun browsing.
The property is great. It’s on the outskirts of Lourmarin and it take you into town in a few minutes. You can walk to town although it’s a healthy 30-40 min walk. Catherine the host is very friendly and knowledgeable. Always ready to help out where needed. The breakfast as well is amazing. Fresh croissant and baguette with home made ‘confiture’, and many other options.
The property feels brand new. Everything looks well taken care of.
Caroline and Jérôme are exceptional hosts. We felt welcome from the first moment and it was a great pleasure to stay at this beautiful chateau.
We especially enjoyed having dinner at the pool with the stunning view at the castle and Lourmarin. Jérôme prepared phantastic meals in his kitchen.
Caroline gave us a lot of helpful recommendations.
Our daughter loved the pool and the extra meals that were prepared for her.
This apartment, though quite small, is very well laid out and with very pretty decor. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom—Wow! -best shower in Provence. Kitchen small but well appointed. Recommended for a couple with child or a couple with good mobility (because of steep stairs to the bedroom and bathroom.). The central location couldn’t be better, and still very quiet!
Lovely, clean and comfortable house. Conveniently located up a small pathway a few minutes walk from the centre of beautiful Lourmarin. We parked the car a few minutes walk away and were met by Jean who was very welcoming. The house is beautifully decorated and is equipped with everything you would need. There is a pretty seating area outside with a table and chairs.
Geraldine and Patrick are super hosts. Everyday we got tips for things to do and they gave us fresh eggs. To location cannot be better. Although the house is amidst the vignes, it is less than a 5 minute walk to Lourmarin. Ample parking and the house has everything you need, including excellent air conditioning. Real value for money as well.
Perfect location for us as I wanted to see the areas where 'A Good Year' was filmed for my 50th birthday.
I had never been to France before, it was exactly as I envisaged.
The accommodation was also perfect for us. We walked to the boulangerie every morning, we ate at Café Gaby in the town centre a few times.
Would certainly recommend.
very close to centre of Lourmarin -walkable. swimming pool available at house (not heated). attractive house and we had a balcony which enhanced our stay.
hosts were very friendly and helpful: we enjoyed meeting other guests at breakfast.
STAFF WERE VERY ATTENTIVE & FRIENDLY,
HOTEL WELL POSITIONED IF YOU DONT HAVE A CAR.
VERY CLEAN AND BED WAS EXCEPTIONAL SOFT.

The excellent location right in the centre of Lourmarin. Getting luggage to and from the studio is a challenge due to the both restricted parking and restricted thoroughfare.
Tastefully decorated, comfortable home in a quiet setting. Everything you need is available and host helpful. Love the quaint town of Lourmarin and the people.
This was our third visit to Lourmarin and our first stay here. The location was perfect. The car park was secure as well. We will stay here on our next visit!
