Lovely last-minute stay en route from north to south. Managed to get in some good pool time too. Beautiful old chateau, good breakfast, nice pool and a friendly welcome.

The reason for the poor rating is that although you accepted the booking they were away and we were not admitted. We had to find an alternative in the dark, with a large van, and in a totally unknown area.

The castle was really nice

Beautiful situation adjacent to the fine chateau of Le Claveau; we enjoyed the walks around the nearby lakes and the astonishing birdsong morning and evening. The host Colette was most welcoming and generous, and we would would return in spring. It is an excellent centre to explore the northern Brenne region with ready access to the bird watching places and heritage sites.
