We booked this property for two main reasons;
1) As a family of 5 it provided us with enough beds for each of us, and having the two separate washrooms was a bonus.
2) The parking was included! We took the metro (across the street from apartment) into the heart of Barcelona, without having to drive in and park our rental car in an unsafe (underground) parking lot. (*consider this when researching Barcelona city parking as there are a lot of car-break-ins and theft).
What we appreciated;
On our flight from Zurich, the airline lost one of our luggages. Stephan helped to receive the luggage from the delivery service and place it in our room, as we were in the heart of Barcelona at that time. Such wonderful service! Thank you Stephan!
This place is comfortable and well equipped with everything you may need. Coffee shops, and grocery store close by.

If we had only been staying one or two nights it might have not mattered, but it's definitely a three, not four star hotel. The hotel, lobby especially, has and unpleasant smell. Not in the room, but quite off putting whenever you pass through the lobby.

The very first moment my son went to toilet next to the door and he could not come out because the handle was not working properly, he was inside for 1 hour, then I told my kids, that do not use it and called the contact person to tell the owner the problem inorder to solve it, but it never happend. My douther also forgot and she got closed in toilet for about 1.5 hours. 2. Wifi was out of order 3. In big bedroom every 3 minutes there was a huge sound of air conditioner, and we could not sleep in that room. We paied for the apartment, but we were not in comfort as we were promised. Vilassar is a small town next to the sea.
Vilassar is a small town next to the sea. It's really close to Barcelona and Mataró, so it's easy to get there and find anything you may need but places to stay have a more reasonable price. The beach itself is not that impressive but you can find several types of beach within a one hour drive. I'll recommend it for someone who doesnt really care about spectacular views and want's to be comfortable and relaxed or as a base for someone wanting to explore the costa brava small coves.CarlosamuelSpain - 10Scored 10

Vilassar is located approximately 30 miles North of Barcelona. It is a quiet town, not over run by tourism. It has an excellent beach and there are a number of good restaurants in the town. Vilassar is one of the more up-market towns north of Barcelona, reflected by the property prices in this area. It is easy to get to from Barcelona. Trains run from Placa Catalunya station every 15mins (R1 Line) and only take 30-35 mins.PaulUnited Kingdom

Comfortable sofa. 10mn walk from the train station which is 40 mn away from Barcelona city center. Trains are every 10 or 15mn. Lots of shops around the appartment and easy walk to the beach. It is very nice to be away from the big tourist attractions and also close enough to visit.
