This hotel is fabulous, set on the edge of beautiful Lanjaron. The rooms are generously sized with a seating area, ensuite and bedroom with a balcony looking over the Sierra Nevada. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant was excellent with amazing breakfasts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would return again.

Beautiful location in the midst of the winery and nature. Stunning view on the snowy Sierra Nevada mountains. We had a very large room with en-suite bathroom (very big). Super friendly staff, very good restaurant!
This hotel is housed in a historical building surrounded by century-old gardens in Lanjarón. This pretty mountain town is famous across Spain for its hot springs.

Unfortunately I can’t recommend this hotel, I am the kind of the person that don’t like to leave bad reviews but I have no option at all :/
The hotel is very noise, they had a party very loud till midnight and the hotel allow dogs so one of the guest left the dog in the room by itself and the dog barked till the end of the party, I guess the dog was frightened by all the noise from the party? Anyway, the owner shouldn’t let the dog by itself in the room!
Breakfast was a mess and a joke at the same time :( you choose a main course ( eggs) + bread+ coffee + a small yogurt and that’s all , I couldn’t believe when I saw it , apart from that it took 45 minutes to come to the table because they have too many people as the breakfast starts at 8:15 am ( very late) … so everyone went at the same time , some people didn’t have table to sit and had to wait stand , even a pregnant woman, I feel sorry for her and tried to eat as fast as I could to give my table to her :/
Staff from the dinner room work very hard , the problem is they need to hire more people when the hotel is full , I feel sorry to the staff because some people were very angry complaining to them , I was angry too but I kept sitting there for 45 minutes till someone comes to our table with our poor breakfast!
Also the hotel doesn’t look like as in the picture, I had no Mountain View and the swimming pool was full of mold or whatever you can call when it looks green …
I was in a road trip in Spain and been in different hotels that one was the worse, I also have been travelling around the world for many years and I don’t even remember the last time that I stayed in a hotel with such bad breakfast , I always read the reviews and I didn’t get anyone mentioning it and even about noise , so I was really disappointed by !
Also I am a blogger so they missed the opportunity of me recommending the hotel on my article :/
Lovely, very easily accessible little town but not touristy...
Lovely, very easily accessible little town but not touristy like some of the Alpujarran villages. Some good hikes straight from the village if you do not mind climbing - summer will be too hot for this. 30min to Granada and 30 min to Costa Tropical which has some nice beaches with excellent Chiringuitos (La Herradura and Salobrena).
There are 4 bar/restaurants but only 2 of these were open when we visited in September. La Tasca is a tucked away little Italian overlooking the valley but only open at the weekends.
So much better than even the pictures made it seem. So pretty, so peaceful, well appointed rooms wth everything you need. Lovely grounds. Restaurant not cheap but well worth it. Staff so lovely and welcoming. Didn't use the hamam, at 38° that was not something we considered! Local village of Nigüelas was just a short walk and had lovely bars to while away the evening. Breakfast was not cheap but as long as you have time then it's well worth it.
Great location on the edge of the village. The owners were very helpful and collected us from the bus stop on the main road. Lovely peaceful rooms with beautiful Andalusian style showers. We enjoyed watching the fish in the pond outside our room and sitting in the sunshine - in February! Great mountain views. Niguelas is a quiet village but Durcal is only about 20 minutes walk away and has more facilities. Lovely breakfast in the old mill.
The hotel is located in a beautiful area. the grounds are in an elevated position, offering nice views of the surrounding countryside. The on-site restaurant serves excellent food and there is plenty of outside seating to enjoy drinks from the bar. The management and staff were helpful and attentive. A very pleasant place to stay.
This is a charming hotel with a fabulous host who couldn’t do enough for us. the dinner was home cooked and food was amazing for the price you pay. The lady lit a lovely fire and allowed us to eat in the cosy saloon because the hotel was quiet. Breakfast was really good also.
This is a delightful place to stay in the centre of Nigüelas. The host makes the hotel, she is so helpful about everything. Enjoyed a lovely breakfast outside.
The location is very good, a couple of minutes walk from the two main squares.
Highly recommended!
The location is fabulous 5 minutes walk to Niguelas village. The room was very cosy and Spanish style which we love. Breakfast in the old mill was really nice but you do pay extra and its more than 4 euros depending on what you have.
We have a fantastic weekend in Niguelas. Quiet and friendly village. Nice hikes in beautiful surroundings. We cooked at home and kitchen was very well equipped. Javier and his brother were great hosts! Hope to return in the future!
The place is a small rural hotel, the rooms are located in a garden, so everything is calm and rustic.
The room was lovely, with comfortable beds and a beautiful shower.
The pool was very nice, facing the sun.
