We had a room overlooking the sea which was wonderful. The room was large with a comfy bed and decent bathroom. Ours was a last minute booking when we missed our flight back to the UK due to an incident on the motorway, and the hotel couldn't have been more helpful or accommodating, Sonia on reception was particularly warm, kind and helpful (and very smiley)

The ladies at the reception and staff were lovely and very helpful in answering questions, as we weren't sure how much the taxi would cost to Marbella which was nearby and the communal/cafe area was great for sitting on my laptop to do some work or talking with my friend. Check in was easy, rooms were clean, generally a good experience that my friend and I had here.

The birthplace of Picasso is as colourful as an artist’s palette, from the deep blue of the Mediterranean Sea to the golden sun, which gives 300 days of sunshine per year. When the sun sets, the vibrant nightlife awakens and you’ll find your place amongst the youthful square of the old centre, the trendy bars of La Malagueta or on one of the terraces of Pedregalejo.
There's also rich history underneath the sun and fun. Alcazaba is a Moorish castle from the 11th century and just next to it are the remnants of a Roman Theatre. The white stone tower of the Malaga Cathedral rises up in the heart of the city centre, and offers an interesting respite from sun bathing on the magnificent and popular beaches.
A more modern history can be appreciated by visiting the birthplace of Picasso and a museum full of exhibitions by Malaga’s most famous resident. A more relaxed Spanish city than Madrid and Barcelona, Malaga is still the gateway to the Costa del Sol and the busy Malaga Airport is only 10 km from the centre of town.
From budget hostels to 5-star luxury hotels, with Booking.com you’re sure to find the perfect accommodation for your sunny holiday.

We were 4 people and it was a birthday trip for the two of us. We had a great time! Food was absolutely amazing everywhere we ate, so we weren't too concerned about the online ratings of the places. We walked to El Palo and Pedregalejo beach (1.5h walk or you can take the bus). It was a great experience with food, drinks, beach... Water was a bit cold (we were there in May) but still swimmable.
We went to a flamenco show, which was AMAZING! I'd definitely recommend sitting in the front row -definitely worth the money! We also visited the Interactive Music Museum and OXO Videogame museum -- these were really interesting and fun (and different). We also went to a few bars, our favourite one was ZZ PUB -it's live music and rock. The quality of the music was great, but I recommend bringing ear plugs because it's a small area with loud music! :)
The most famous attractions had too many people in line so we didn't do those with tickets, but we were able to walk around and climb up to see things. Other than that, eat all the tapas and paella you can find, and drink all the Tinto de Verano you want! It's really difficult to not like something I think.
Warning -- there are people who walk around and ask you if you want a drink and a shot for x EUR. Be careful with those. We accepted only one of them but the bar and the drinks were really not that great. So for a very cheap price, you get a very early-twentys-age experience.

Liked most the port area and market type shops there and bars and the views. Beach is a nice option in a city. Plenty of historic things to see.
Car and fashion museum very good.
Liked least that restaurants extremely meat oriented. Even tapas ones. Very few options if any for vegan/ vegetarian if you don’t eat dairy products.

Beautiful city, especially for a long weekend.
Beautiful city, especially for a long weekend. Mixture of fun and culture and it even has a beach on the other side of the harbour. Fabulous city for singles, couples and families - lots to do. Most places are easy to walk to. There were quite a few hen/stag events, but the noise got lost in the hubbub of the place, so it did not worry us.

It is a compact city so walking around is very easy.
It is a compact city so walking around is very easy. The public transport is excellent, we used the buses many times. Beautiful buildings and parks. Cafes and restaurants are many and very reasonable for cost.
Very nice and quiet apartment in an Aparthotel in the beautiful Soho-district. Only a 5 minute walk to Malaga’s old town. Restaurants, a market and bakery nearby.
Very easy to get into the apartment when we arrived after midnight from the airport. Before arriving they send us codes that unlock the main door to the building and the door to the apartment. The reception is open every day from 11-19, and the staff is very helpful. Thank you for a very nice stay!
The hotel was ideally located for exploring Malaga's old town. The rooftop bar was open until 01:00, which was great as we were able to get a drink and a first view of the city even though we arrived on a late flight after midnight. There was also a sundeck and small pool on the roof where we could relax after a day's sightseeing. The breakfast was good with plenty of choices. There was a wide variety of restaurants and bars in easy reach for the evenings.
This hotel is wonderully located - just in the centre of Malaga, a walking distence to Old Town, port, beach etc. The hotels' design is uniquelly pretty and up to date. The rooms are super comfortable and sound proof. I especially liked the small yet meaningfull details like bathrobes, cosmetics provided and a free-standing bathtub that gives you an opportunity to overlook the port and sea while actually taking a bath! Well done!
The room is clean and organised, the staff are helpful and responsive to our questions prior to arriving to Malaga.
The location of the hotel is PERFECT, just walking distance from everywhere (beach, old town, restaurants, cafés,..etc)
The hotel private parking is a good option given that it's very central and very hard to find parking outside in the streets (there are public underground parkings around)
Great hotel, perfectly located close to the old town (so many shops and restaurants nearby) and the see and promenade as well.
The rooftop pool is small but good enough to cool yourself while sunbathing on the rooftop terrace.
The staff is also really nice and helpful.
We'd definitely stay there again in Malaga and would also try out other Room Mate hotels in other locations.
Superb hotel right in the heart of Old Town in Malaga .
All staff are trying to do their best to assist immediately with everything you might need
Excellent breakfast
The rooftop is really nice in the morning for breakfast and evening for a few drinks
Brand new and very modern place .
Despite being on a very busy street the windows are soundproof so we could rest properly
Fantastic place in Malaga, helpful host, easy access, no time wasting with check-in / check-out.
Quiet neighbourhood, all appliances working and existing which are needed for a short/long stay.
Absoulutely fantastic location to explore old town.
If I come back - I come back here and recommend for others not to spend money for the hotels, but come to these apartments.
Grand Renaissance villa repurposed as a luxury hotel. The appointments in the hotel are very elegant and the beds are comfortable. The food is exquisite and the wait staff extremely friendly. The setting is gorgeous and the weather of Málaga made it possible to sit on the terrace and dine with a tremendous view. Highly recommend.
The staff especially the receptionists were very friendly and supportive. They checked in early without any extra charge.
The breakfast was good and diverse and worth the price.
The location of the Hotel is incredible. Although it is located in a quiet area, it is close to the old town and beach and many restaurants and bars.
We were greeted with a friendly welcome and that continued everyday. All the Staff went out of their way to help in every way they possibly could. Excellent Staff. Great location in the old town. Wonderful “boutique hotel” in a quiet alley way. Super ambience and nice newly renovated room. Very good breakfast €10 each.
beautiful small hotel with Colonial styling. our room was lovely and the bed very comfortable. the location was the best for all attractions including the old town, port, restaurants, nightlife, and transport links. staff were superb and breakfast excellent. I wouldn’t use any other hotel in Malaga
Located in a quiet upscale area of Malaga, this hotel overlooks a beautiful park containing a pond with swans. It is close to an amazing Georgian restaurant (Odissei) and a short ride to the airport. We had hoped to take advantage of our last day walking along the beach but the rain prevented it.
A great spot for a quick overnight stay before flying out of the Malaga airport early in the morning. No airport shuttle, but the hotel will call an overpriced (!) taxi to take you to the airport. We appreciated the early morning (0430a) breakfast that was available to us prior to our departure.
This is a small boutique hotel with outstanding front desk. Irin and Martha went out of their way to help me out. The facility is clean and the location is perfect, only a short walk to the old town, hop on hop off is just around the corner, with tons of restaurants within the vicinity.
Clean and tidy room although small.Good shower,a)c and tv.Reception staff very helpful.Train station very close (5 mins walk max .2.30 euros) for the airport .The hotel is very close to the old town for food and bars
Wonderful hotel with good location: 10 minutes to the old town and 10 minutes to the beach. Comfortable and clean room, good spa with a nice big pool. Delicious breakfast. Very polite staff.
Wonderful 5 star hotel in the perfect location- one block around the corner from central Malaga’s stores and restaurants- you can walk to anywhere. Comfortable beds
