Madrigal has wonderful pools - most welcome after a hot walk...
Madrigal has wonderful pools - most welcome after a hot walk on one of the many trails. Holidaying in the Gredos is about the outdoors. It’s not at all touristy. The mountains dominate over all and there are tracks aplenty, many of them in need of remarking.

We were given a lovely welcome to the chalet style wooden cottage. Everything you need was there including an Italian coffee percolator. The water pressure in the shower and the water temperature controls were better than in a four star hotel we recently stayed at. We were given advice about walking, and helped with the washing machines by friendly staff. If we were in the area we would go back.FrancesNew Zealand
