The location is almost perfect. It is private, peaceful, not overlooked. The road to access the house is a little rough, but that's the price to pay for somewhere that offers such quiet and tranquility. The views from the terrace are stunning, and yet the town centre is only a 15 minute stroll through the groves. The pool is lovely; not too big, and yet deep enough for some decent diving.
It was such a great surprise this hotel! A little gem in the middle of mountains and white villages (UNESCO's heritage). If you want to escape the craziness of cities and discover the authenticity of an Andalusian village this is the place. The structure is an authentic renovated 'casa señoril de pueblo' with wooden structure and fireplaces still visible. The room was big and full equipped. The breakfast was cheap, simple and nice (la tostada de jamon was amazing) and the staff super polite!
We stayed in 8 hotels and Hostals on our hiking trip and this was by far the most over priced and worst. they lock guests out and ask that you buzz to get back in...they may or may not hear the buzzer!!. The rooms are dark and gloomy. The breakfast was appalling and all for EUR25 m9re than two much better places the previous night and the night after. We paif EUR85 and I reckon it was a EIUR50 place being generous!!
It was a lovely old building with lots of character, in the very heart of El Burgo.
The room was small but surprsiingly quiet given the location, and with a lovely view.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
