Breakfast was unusual as we had to order the previous day and then it would come to a hatch at a certain time
so we had to open the hatch and remove the trays. Good breakfast. The only thing is that there is no toilet or baison
downstairs so we had to go upstairs to go to toilet and as I have difficulties going up the stairs it was not easy. We were not far from a very nice town where we went to have a small dinner. Beautifful place. The place is easy to find but you have to go past the turn off and them come back to get the road going in. But lovely place with each one his parking space, friendly gentleman that checked us in and there is a barbeque outside with a upright pool and then also a little intertaining
aria with a tv and a selfhelp from the fridges and then you just leave the money in a jar.

Having been there a lot around 4 years ago as we lived not far from there, we found the old part of the town a bit depressing, a lot of the shops seem to be closing down, houses shut up.The outskirts look very nice. The hotel is in a very nice location. we had lunch in O Pepino it was very good and the service was very prompt and efficient all at a good price.

Very helpful gentleman in tourist information office marked up a map for us with suggestions for seeing the town, and gave us some written details in English. Town has a Roman bridge and riverside walks, with quaint old streets leading up to a wide square in front of a monastery. The museum there includes a small ivory Madonna which opens up to reveal tiny carved biblical scenes.
The staff makes this property absolutely different. Marta in the reception desk gave us plenty of useful info. She told us everything we needed to know about how the hotel worked. In the restaurant, Fran told us many things about the food and the town (Allariz) itself. The food was delicious (rice, cheese). The room was comfortable, having a balcony in front of a quiet garden. The buffet breakfast was both good and diverse enough, with quality products. Due to lack of time, we did not try the spa facilities. The parking was for free
Monica made us feel very welcome in Torre Lombarda and gave us some excellent advice on where to visit. The building is an old leather tannery with fascinating history that Monica was only too pleased to share with us. We felt completely at home and we are planning to return in September to use the hotel as our base to explore further afield. If you want to immerse yourself in a beautiful old historic building in this stunning part of Spain, I can;t think of a better place!
We stayed one night in Hotel O Portelo Rural. The Check-In was super easy and the room was clean. The stuff had its difficulties with english but they managed it with google translate. The breakfast was simple but fine. They had homemade pastry!!! The service was amazing and if we had any questins they helped us immediately. I higly recommend it!
The welcome we received in this hotel was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. The owner catered to our every need, with regard to breakfast. The coffee, in particular, was absolutely delicious. The hotel is situated right in the center of the old town,so convenient for everything.
Lovely little apartment in Allariz. There was coffee and a coffee maker so we didn't need to go outside for our first coffee. The details like this are great :-) Friendly and helpful hosts, easy to communicate with. Lovely views from the apartment.
+ room seemed to be (at least superficially) clean
+ staff was friendly
+ breakfast was good, incl. some healthy fruit options
+ free parking right in front of the hotel
+ hotel facilities look nice
The rooms are comfortable and impressive. The hotel is a short walk from the town centre with ample parking and the staff were very helpful up to a point.
