Kuressaare Castle is promoted as a top attraction in Estonia. I would say that the Castle surrounds were very good, but my man would say only good. Certainly good for many photos. This verdict could be also applied to several renovated timber dwellings in some streets of the town. The retail area has been upgraded and the town generally is becoming gentrified, some might say trendy. Certainly the town thinks it is going upmarket. Restaurant and eatery options are moving towards the aspiring and influencer market, with prices commensurate. Thus you have a summer place, a weekend or discreet getaway in other seasons as well. There are various opinions that could be made, but for me I found the visit to be worthwhile. My other half views the town and attractions to be generally overrated, and the visit to be rather disappointing.mariavalada0007Portugal - 10Scored 10

Kuressaare castle gives interesting insights into the history of Estonia in general, but also the past events of Saaremaa, which are good to know for any traveler to understand the mindset and the attitude of the locals. There are various food options and the town is tiny, so you can get around by foot. Nice old, historic town. Well preserved castle. Town is clean and well maintained. Lot of walking areas, nice park and other views. Lot of lovely places to eat. Easy to get around. If necessary, there is Auriga shopping mall just outside center.

Great place to visit during summer.

Very beautiful and quiet place. It is recommended to go on weekdays to fully enjoy the peace and beauty. There are many beautiful restaurants in the Old Town with local dishes. Beautiful walking areas and a family-friendly city with children.

Great breakfast and great bar food available from the spa bar. Their own restaurant is a very cozy stone cellar place, it's a nice atmosphere for both breakfast and dinner. Lighting in the spa not too bright, but more on the darker atmosphere side overall, which is a good thing for a spa. The main pool has several streams. Saunas very modern and all have their own unique design - the nicest collection of saunas I've seen so far in Estonia.

There was no receptionist in the entrance - you enter the hotel by entering code and then you are free to go to your room. Elevator is located on the same level of hotel entrance. Bathroom has heating floor and is quite spacious. Kitchen has all needed appliances for preparing food. A lot of options for lights in the living room. Spacious car parking in front of the hotel.

It's perfect for a travel with bigger family or friends. We had everything we needed- coffee, a big sofa, 2 balconies, air conditioner, TV and WiFi. Next time we'll use the sauna too. Jaanus is an excellent host, instructions were clear and simple. We will most definitely try to book the apartment again next time we visit Kuressaare.KarinFamily with young children

Located in a peaceful neighborhood. Near Kuressaare castle and sea beach (both in 5 minute walk). 15 minute walk from bus station. Water temperature in SPA's big pool was OK (could have been a little bit warmer, but was not chilly like in some other places).
