The city is historic with lots of history and you can take tours around the city with a guide, also a lot of hiking can be done in oybin with a mountain train to take you, but not in winter. There is a museum, five churches, local bakeries, shops and restaurants. Train station is ten minutes walk to the centre.
Locals don’t speak a lot of English but any young person will.
The staff were friendly and very helpful with a lot of extra things like printing train tickets, booking taxis, lending ice packs when I fell off my bike!
The room was lovely with a large window, and lots of lamps so you could create a nice atmosphere. Had a fridge, kettle, desk for working, everything I needed.
The area was lovely and quiet and felt safe. The breakfast was excellent with a lot of choice, and the restaurant food in the evening also very nice. I would definitely stay here again, and recommend this hotel.
The place is located very close to the Zittau city center (circa 500 m walking distance), yet it is perfectly quiet. It sets a great starting point for the tour of the Zittauer Gebirge (Oybin, Jonsdorf, Hain) and can be a great stop on the way down to the Czech Republic. The room offers all the.necessary conveniences for travellers. The host is a very kind person and ready to help anytime. Highly reccommendable!
The hotel location was close to the train station and univeristy, very central.
The hotel looks really nice, the staff was great and nice! Kudos to Frau Faber :)
I could check in online which made my come in easier after a 9 hour ride.
The bed and pillows (for the first time in Germany) were super comfortable!
There was free water and tv
The bathroom was fully equipped
The breakfast was great!
My room was spatious and had everything I needed (including a desk of a proper size where you could work if needed and a fridge). The view from my window was nice, and the location is great: right in the center and not too far from the railway station. The restaurant they have there is good, but inexpensive (as is the hotel itself).
We really enjoyed the artful design of the hotel, the mix of historical elements in the building with modern art was very tasteful and pleasing. The breakfast was really nice as well, including eggs made to order, salmon, etc. The overall impression was of a very high quality and we very happy we selected the Superior room.
I am a railway fanatic, and I wanted to photograph the steam trains between Zittau and Oybin/Jonsdorf. I could actually see the trains from the kitchen window. The railway station is around the corner.
There were supermarkets nearby, including a Sunday opening baker.
Lessing Strasse is a very quiet street.
Delightful hotel in market square with view of hills around.
Rooms well-appointed, beds very comfortable. Fresh breakfast buffet. Staff prepared scrambled eggs on request.
Unfortunately, we didn't have time to sit on the sunny roof terrace.

An incredible apartment direct in the middle of Zittau. Big, spacious, tastefully furnished and beautifully done work. The host Rainer was helpful and supportive. The area around Zittau is great for hiking and eating as well.
Very close to Oder-Neisse Radweg. Locked bicycle storage. Good breakfast; Nice room. Restaurant on site with beer garden. Short walk to central Zittau. Bicycle store with repair not far away.
Host met us with a smile and beer :) Great large living room and space to relax in central Zittau. Private carpark a short 2min walk away. Cute back garden and everything in Kitchen you might need.
There was a Ukrainian lady at the reception of the hotel who was in excellent behavior. I arrived at the hotel late, but because of me, they waited an hour for me to arrive.
