Family run hotel with charming staff whose English was much better than my German. As a solo traveller I felt welcomed. 1,000 metes above sea level with magnificent views of the Black Forest (southern end) and footpaths lead out from the hotel. Dinner was top quality and the style of cooking was creative and healthy. Coffee at breakfast was the best I've ever had. Nice dining table and bed linen.

Everything was very proper and the owner was extremely welcoming and supporting. The apartament is very stilysh and comfortable. The area is very beautiful and the place is definitely good value for money.

All the staff were lovely. Self service bar with reasonable prices and basic but good rooms. Excellent meals (including wild boar and deer) in the restaurant though somewhat limited selection. Sauna has fantastic views. We plan to return for another stay.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Proprietor was very kind when I returned the room key which I’d forgotten and left with! Lovely setting with easy walk through forest to waterfall.

Lovely hotel and very friendly hosts. Room was large and had very comfortable beds. The hotel was exceptionally clean. Breakfast and evening meals were great and delicious. Stunning area to visit.

It’s a family run business, they are all very kind and helpful. Saw New Years fireworks in the valley from our balcony! Good location for the Black Forest, was 45 min drive to full snow in feldberg, which was amazing on New Years Day! Breakfast very nice, German style and they cook you eggs of choice. Brilliant rooms, all very big. Best thing was the robot that helped in the breakfast room, the kids loved it!
