The southern area of the heath seems to be quieter and less commercial than other parts. Don’t miss a visit to “Schwinde Quelle”. The springs are a truly magical display of nature! With parking less than 50 meters away it's accessible to all ages of visitors.

The staff were attentive, friendly and made us feel welcome. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and the restaurant was also good for a lunch or evening meal. The location is fantastic as a base for hiking, cycling etc. The room was immaculately clean. We would definitely return.

No public transportation that I could see. Breakfast is great. Room has no air-conditioning but we found there was no need. It was cold during the nights.
