A quiet little town in the wine region, it has a few nice restaurants, and has a seemingly upscale hotel with restaurant, which we didn't use personally. (but looked very nice) . We walked or biked everywhere we needed to go. The Roman history of this town is really amazing, great for those who want to see it outside of a museum. The original friezes from this town are in the museums in Trier, while the copies here in Neumagen-Drohn give a nice ambiance to a more peaceful "tourist" view. The town also has a walking tour on a free app for those who want to tour the Roman area in more detail. The Mosel river in this area is wide and quiet.
