I did like the castle. It's beautiful, well managed, i really liked the food. One day it was a bufet for supper and I could eat a lot of delicious food and next day a normal I would say menu from which you can choose one dish - also a very good gulash. I can recommend for solo traveler as well as for a family.

The host met us nad showed us the room. Clean, tidy and nice. We were then left to ourselves since the hotel is not having a staff 24h. We were happy. Relaxed in the backyard with a few beers in the blazing sun. Biker friendly!

Nice and cozy place to stay, a bit sorry we only stayed for one night but we were homebound from a trip in Austria / Italy, great location not exactly along the motorway but on a good route from A9 connecting to A21 towards Hamburg / Denmark, and i always try to stay in smaller places, much nicer, and this was no exception, very nice and comfy room, friendly staff, good food in the restaurant and also great breakfast, , easy to find parking. Tip: a walk along the canal and around the village is a must do!
