We have not stayed for long enough to form a reasoned opinion, but the behaviour, demeanour and attitude of the locals we encountered during a walk and food shopping were extremely negative. The city seems depressed. Across the river on the Polish side was much more lively and friendly. In short, I would stay here during a stop over to elsewhere, but there was nothing to make me think I would like to visit for the sake of visiting Frankfurt O Oder.

The internet is free and it actually works. Don't rely on the mobile internet, since also in this aspect, Germany is lagging behind at least 20 years. The restaurant wasn't open, because the regime doesn't allow them to open, otherwise they probably would have. Breakfast is offered, though and appears to be good.

We checked in late due to traffic issues , the restaurant was already closed but the staff prepared us a delightful plate of cold cuts , vegetables and bread! Very thoughtful! Thank you! PS. Facilities are simple but have all you need for the stopover. Restaurant on site serves fresh local dishes. Is also animal friendly place and was very easy for me as I was traveling with my dog
