Henry and David are great hosts, extremely helpful. We spent a bit of time together in the common room and they gave us tips on the best hiking trails in the area. They even offered us their own homemade Apfelwein, REALLY delicious! The hostel is very clean and cozy. Each room has a private toilet down the corridor, while there is a common big bathroom with showers. The kitchen is fully furnished, and coffee and tee are provided for the breakfast. We had a really good time and will definitely come back.

    Erbach is a lovely town in the Odenwald.

    Erbach is a lovely town in the Odenwald. We enjoyed our visit to the Erbach Palace where we saw the impressive collection of natural artifacts and the armor collection. The streets surrounding the palace were charming. We were also impressed by the Restaurant Michel, the Greek Restaurant Mareki, and Da Nino Italian Restaurant. The Hotel Wappenstube was charming with spacious, well appointed rooms, friendly hosts, and a delicious breakfast by the cozy fireplace. There is a lovely toy shop with many Christmas, Nativity, and children’s toys that are made of wood. We used Erbach as our home while we visited Miltenberg, Kleinheubach, and towns in the Odenwald.

    My original plan was to visit Michelstadt, and book here at about 3km south of Michelestadt. When I made the reservation, I did not know about Erbach. But once I arrived at Wappenstube, the stunning beauty of Erbach greatly surprised me. The facility has a very good restaurant, and it is right behind the main historical town center. And the Erbach town center is so beautiful with the garden, the schloss, the old rathaus, with a river surrounding the area. It is a great surprise for me. I think here is even more beautiful than Michelestadt.

    In my mind, when I think traditional style German B and B this I what I pictured (the rooms have been modernised). The location is fantastic - 5 minute walk around the corner to tourist centre and cafes in the old section of Erbach, easy parking at the hotel and by far the best buffet breakfast with plenty of options which tasted amazing. We had a small room, the bed was still massive - firm but comfy. Balcony access was wonderful. Would stay again for a weekend getaway/longer!

    Fantastic value for money, and a very well equipped apartment on several floors. Nothing was missing in the kitchen and even things like coffe, tea and sugar was well stocked. And everything was absolutely spotless clean. The owners live in the other half of the house, but the apartment is completely separate. Erbach is a cute little village with an impressing castle and museum. We highly recommend this apartment.

    Wappenstube is a gem situated in fairy tale old town in a wood. The hotel is in a very old building but inside it is modern and beautiful with every thing you need. Super bathroom and comfy bed. Very clean with a home garden outside. Highlight is when you enter the breathtaking breakfast room! The staff was exceptional, friendly and helpfull. I will remember you always🌹

    Wappenstube is a small hotel well ran. It is located in the centre of the small and very picturesque town literally next door to the Schloss and the Germany Ivory museum. The room was spacious with additional space for the kitchen. A small balcony provided a nice relaxation in the evening. The breakfast was wonderful, the staff very friendly and helpful.

    Wappenstube was our last stop of our Germany tour, and we were a bit road weary. We pushed through a toured Michelstat and Erbach (beautiful town squares). Then crashed hard. The room was a good size, clean and comfortable. The highlight was a wonderful breakfast. With a fresh omelet and wonderful croissants. Great low-key stay, steps from market square.

    Super position directly opposite the castle and 3 minutes walk to the beautiful town centre with several restaurants. Private parking behind the hotel. Large room with a balcony. We phoned the hotel beforehand with a special request regarding the room, which they fulfilled for us. Breakfast was very good - lots of choice. Friendly staff.

    Excellent address - very close to the main square of the Erbach City. Personal staff very supportive and professional. What I want to adore is the hospitality and kindness of the owner of the hotel - that´s how I want to feel as a guest. Great breakfast, very silent location, very stylish.
