Really nice location and Walhalla is great and Regensburg is definitely worth a visit. Donaustauf is small but you can basically find everything you need. There are a lot of walks and tracks nearby in beautiful nature, The restaurant "Kupferkanne" is a good location to eat just not a lot of veggie stuff but wonderful meat dishes and you can also stay for the night in the hotel.Martina

The restuarant has some the best tradtional food myself and wife have had in Germany. Restaurant is worth the stop alone. The large parrot in the main lobby is welcoming greeter. Clean rooms, with a very special '70's vibe' (including a radio built into the bed !;), but the bathroom was completely new, very clean and comfortable.
