The hotel is great and the staff is very nice.
The hotel is great and the staff is very nice. Always available to help and asking if everything is ok. The room and the bathroom are very spacious and the breakfast is very good, with a lot of variety to choose from. The location is perfect to rest and get away from the city. I totally recommend this hotel in case you need to disconnect and want to spend a few days in the nature.

Amazing hotel. Rooms are comfortable, very clean and the decoration is simple awesome. Staff is very kind. We were very surprised by the quality of the hotel. Certainly a nice place to stay. We regretted not staying longer.

Unfortunately, the kitchen was closed but we still got some Flammkuchen and beer. The breakfast was phenomenal. The hotel seems to have a few themed rooms. Our room had a kind of 80s look, wicked but not really my thing. I very much liked the way the hotel is organized, it relies on trust and it seems to have evolved around the long-distance hiking culture. Here is an example, just take a beer and write down how many you had.

But once we found it, we were amazed. It's more like a boutique hotel, with a hunting/medieval theme with a lot of interesting works of art everywhere and a very warm and cozy feeling all around. Breakfast was pretty good and the owner was very kind to cook flammenkuchen for us as we checked in pretty late and the restaurant was closed.

Dobel sits directly on top of several hiking paths and we really enjoyed the blue one to Wildseemoor, as it was small, mostly wild and quiet, without people.
